According to Fortune.com web site, they are reporting that Monday Morning the German Government arrested Audi CEO Rupert Stradler for his role in the 2015 VW diesel emissions scandal. They are reporting that he was arrested due to the highly potential risk of suppressing and tampering with evidence related to the Dieselgate as the news has come to call this issue.

VW has confirmed that he has been arrested and have no further news to report. This comes at a time when Munich Prosecutors raided his apartment and widened their probe into board members as VW agreed to pay a $1.2 Billion US or $1 Billion Euros fine for the ongoing scandal.

VW currently has legal proceedings in 55 countries as well as facing stock-market manipulation in Germany. Bloomberg has reported that VW alone set aside $27 Billion Euros to cover this but that they have surpassed this and this does not take into account the costs that will come from Audi and Porsche for their own Diesel emission cheating auto's.
