2002 GMC Yukon Resto

Featured Replies

I'll be starting a total frameoff restoration/rebuild/modification of my wife's 2002 GMC Yukon in the next couple weeks. I will chronicle the job here. Will post before pics soon.

The plan is, take it down to the frame, sandblast and powercoat the frame and most things attached to it. Add an air locker to the rear end, lift it about 2inches. Modify it to use a stick transfer case instead of the push button setup it has, lockouts on the front wheels. Repaint it from white to purple, rebuild trans to handle larger tires, rebuild engine to about 350hp. Interior mostly stock but recover the seats and new carpet

Very cool sounding project. Look forward to following your Journey! :metal:

I will be enjoying vicariously as my garage has been converted from working on cars to a woodworking work shop.  Looking forward to the build.
