2020 Cadillac XT6

Album created by Drew Dowdell · Updated

The 2020 Cadillac XT6 is Cadillac's first-ever three-row crossover SUV, debuting at the 2019 Detroit Auto Show. Available in Sport and Premium Luxury trims, the XT6 seats up to seven passengers and brings genuine Cadillac craftsmanship to the competitive three-row family SUV segment. The Sport trim features a blacked-out grille, tinted taillight lenses, carbon fiber interior accents, and a Bose Performance Series audio system, while the Premium Luxury trim offers chrome exterior garnishes, tan leather seating, and a refined upscale character. Both versions are powered by a 3.6-liter V6 engine paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission and available AWD.

Just 6 inches too short... This was supposed to be placed on the 120" WB, Traverse Platform (204" overall length). Instead, it's just an Acadia. Fail. Lost me as a buyer. I guess I'm going to look at the Traverse High Country or Red Line.

There is probably an XT7 coming on the Traverse platform too.

I was told this two years ago by Cadillac Mgmt, at NAIAS Press Days, This was supposed to be the 7. I wouldn't hold my breath as something on the Traverse Platform would be too close to this and the standard sized Escalade. GM just doesn't roll like this. There's only one thing that may cause me to agree with you. The HP Rating for the XT6 is the same as the Acadia-310HP. That engine does 335 in the CT6 and Traverse. Maybe that's why they didn't tune the XT6 up. Maybe there will be a Traverse based 7, but I think that they're waiting too long to do it.
