The 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray made its world debut at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show, marking the first ground-up redesign of the Corvette in a decade and the revival of the storied Stingray name not seen since the C3 generation. Powered by a 6.2L LT1 V8 producing 460 horsepower, the C7 was available with a 7-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed paddle-shift automatic, and it rode on an all-new lightweight aluminum space frame chassis that improved rigidity while reducing weight over the outgoing C6.
