  1. Honestly the only thing the Solstice really has against the MX-5 is the styling. MX-5 is just a more practical vehicle. It isn't bad...but it competes in a segment of 3...and that isn't enough for me to call it "competitive."
  2. GMTruckGuy: Glad it looks as quality in person as it does in the pictures. The Equinox was $h! when it first came out...so plastic and definitely more Fisher Price than Newport Beach.
  3. See...9/11 isn't an exact parallel. 9/11 were Arab terrorists, not Arab nations. If the Arabs started building amazing cars that were segment-toppers, I'd have no second thought about buying one. THAT SAID: With Mitsubishi... See, if you know nothing about Japan (which seems to be the case), your views seem reasonable...Mitsubishi is Mitsubishi, right? Well no. Japan has some massive conglomerates. These conglomerates own hundreds of manufacturing plants that make products for thousands of industries. Mitsubishi is one such example. Mitsubishi made fighter planes, cars, consumer electronics, computers, non-consumer electronics, and appliances...among other things. Fuji is another conglomerate. Fuji Heavy Industries, anyone? What about Fuji cameras? But isn't one Fuji or Mitsubishi the same as the others? No. Each are different "divisions" that operate as completely different companies. They just belong to the same conglomerate and use the conglomerate's factories. That's the simplified version. Another reason to move on from Pearl Harbor is that it was a war and Mitsubishi didn't have much of a choice. Just like in WWII the US used all the autofactories for the war effort. Should the Germans turn up their noses to GM because of that? What about the Japanese?

    wow

    what game? looks fun...
  5. Nothing's wrong with it. It looks better than the Cobalt, and is probably the best, most competitive vehicle in the Pontiac lineup, pending my inspection of the refreshed Torrent.
  6. ummm.....uses less fossil fuel?
  7. Can't agree entirely. New Mexico blows chunks if you're taking the 10, but it is really nice on the 40. Arizona rocks the 10, but on the 40 it is as enjoyable as an angry toddler.Won't object to North Dakota though my friend Allan disagrees.

    ...

Good review, but it sounds like it isn't quite ready for primetime yet?
  9. Why would you? I've done it in 75 minutes before...of course that was on the tollway and not @ peak hours, but still...
  10. Interior is a little stark...but it's nice.
  11. If I can drive there in 10 hrs or less I'll do it. If it's a big road trip, doesn't matter how long it takes.
  12. EXT/XL were as long as Tahoes but much narrower. Not as long as Suburbans...that's a stretch.
  13. Psh I don't know why she's famous either! But I'm not holding that against her...I'm holding that against America.
  14. Bowflex quality has been fine. Customer service has been excellent. When I first got mine in July of 2002 I had a plastic shield that mounted the power rods to the tower crack because I apparently overtightened the bolts. I received a new one for free within a week. My Bowflex was recalled...I wanna say a year ago? Maybe 18 months at this point. Apparently the bench could become unlocked and move when in use if you used a high amount of weight over a period of years. I was never affected by it, but I got the repair kit rush mailed to me with the recall notice for installing an extra latch to secure the bench. Perfect. Everything else has been great, and I really like most of the exercises I've tried on it. Definitely good. Paulie: You'll do it if you keep a log and schedule it. If not, congrats you have a 2x6 paperweight that set you back $2k. That's motivation enough for me...
  15. So you know her personally?Don't judge. If every "not perfect" thing you did were headline news you'd be talking differently. If no one cared, the media wouldn't use it to sell paper.
  16. Actually I believe her story. LAPD have been out of control this past year and love making examples of people. They've been handing out jaywalking tickets left and right on FRATERNITY ROW!!! Ummm I'm pretty sure it's OK to cross the street on a residential street even though it might technically be jaywalking if it isn't impeding traffic. Our Campus Security has had them leave for harassing students. It's ridic. LAPD making an example of Paris Hilton? Don't doubt it.
  17. Heh looks like they fixed Facebook...or at least made i way less obnoxious
  18. bes exercise you can do: squats. If I could only do 5 exercises, they would be: squats bicep curls bench press walking crunches
  19. I like this better than the Blackhawk. This car really reminds me of the graphic on all the "Figueroa Corridor" signs, eh?
  20. Trade in the car for a good pair of walking shoes. Running burns the same calories as walking by distance. Basically running just saves time. Walking is easier, generally more enjoyable, and way easier on your joints. Oh, and you only sweat walking if it's humid!
  21. No it's like the neighborhood gossip on cocaine.
  22. Haha yea and the pic dating all the way back to when I was a freshman haha.
  23. Bowflex is amazing, I love my Ultimate. Keeping records is a must.
  24. Of course...but that particular joke stopped being funny months ago.
  25. Actually, the S-Class has always launched the next generation of "pint, quart, gallon" styling at M-B. The rear isn't copied from anything other than the Maybach, which certainly wasn't cribbed from a 7er. I can see how you could find the fender flares cartoonish, but the front end being from a 90s car? No way.
