  1. Yea and didn't he also start up a competing site? How's that going? LOL...
  2. Not really, just trying to help based on what I've gone through in life as well as my friends and in knowing what works/doesn't work.Which is more than you can say you've added to this thread.
  3. Is your sister mentally challenged in some way? Not to pry, but that isn't normal. She needs the counseling, not you.
  4. OK you do realize you started a thread titled "What Should I Do???" and have subsequently shot down every suggestion mentioned without even trying it. So here is what you should do: quit your bitching and just get over it. You obviously are more interested in "venting" and complaining than you are in actually seeking a solution if you want to blame all your problems on everyone else yet you won't even TRY some of the worthwhile advice that has been posted on here.I mean sucks your parents are getting a divorce, and sucks that your counselor put you in the wrong class...but be proactive about it instead of bitching. Bitching just makes you dwell on it, and it just gets you all worked up about it all over again. So quit it. If your counselor won't fix your schedule, demand an explanation. State your case. Ask WHY you are stuck in a class that isn't right for you. If he won't budge or BSes you, go one level higher. Who is his boss? Again, state your case. If nothing happens at this point, get your parents involved. Finally, if nothing happens at this point, then just let it go and accept you will have one of the easiest A+s in your high school career. Parents getting a divorce? Well yea lots of changes there and if they aren't being responsible and civil/amicable about it, that's really gonna be rough. If the home enviornment is hostile, make sure your friends are aware. I have yet to know a single friend who hasn't said "you can stay at my place tonight" if things are really that bad. Spend time AWAY from home and you won't have to be drawn into it all. Get a job. Between school and work, you will minimize your time at home. You will also learn good time management skills that will benefit you for college as well as the rest of your life. Don't forget the money. Money is good, and it can buy you lots of stuff to make yourself feel better. Stressed? Save up for a massage by a hot chick (or dude if that's more your thing) at a local spa. I'm serious about the exercising too. I recommend some cardio as well as weight training, with the emphasis on the weight training. Not only will the exercise help you reduce your stress levels, but your overall physical fitness will also improve. Health effects aside, your self-esteem will definitely increase due to your buffing up body and you will get POSITIVE attention from the people around you and at school. Now...I don't wanna hear any more "but that won't work because..." out of you because those are excuses. Make improvements. Try some of these suggestions, and THEN get back to us. Oh, one last thing: fake it. Fake being happy. Plaster the fakest smile on your face. Looking like a wet blanket will only garner negative attention and that's bad. Also, studies show that faking smiles actually improves your mood. People will want to be around you and ask how you're doing if you seem somewhat approachable, and looking sullen doesn't do that. That is all for now.
  5. Just go have fun. The less free time you allow yourself, the less time you mind has to drift back onto unsettling stuff. Got a job? A club or sport you can devote all your time to? Take up working out like it's your job? If you have physical stress, working out is the best way to get over it.
  6. My list of overrated cars would be: 1. Toyota Camry 2. Toyota Prius 3. Lexus in general 4. Pontiac G6 5. Cadillac Escalade (it lacks many features that were standard luxury fare in the 90s...i.e. express up/down windows, REAL wood, etc. it looks amazing, but it lacks as much substance as the hype claims...hence overrated) Most underrated: 1. Cadillac SRX 2. SAAB 9-3 3. Lincoln Navigator 4. Ford Explorer/Mercury Mountaineer 5. Ford Expedition
  7. Quoted for truth
  8. Honestly the only thing the Solstice really has against the MX-5 is the styling. MX-5 is just a more practical vehicle. It isn't bad...but it competes in a segment of 3...and that isn't enough for me to call it "competitive."
  9. GMTruckGuy: Glad it looks as quality in person as it does in the pictures. The Equinox was $h! when it first came out...so plastic and definitely more Fisher Price than Newport Beach.
  10. See...9/11 isn't an exact parallel. 9/11 were Arab terrorists, not Arab nations. If the Arabs started building amazing cars that were segment-toppers, I'd have no second thought about buying one. THAT SAID: With Mitsubishi... See, if you know nothing about Japan (which seems to be the case), your views seem reasonable...Mitsubishi is Mitsubishi, right? Well no. Japan has some massive conglomerates. These conglomerates own hundreds of manufacturing plants that make products for thousands of industries. Mitsubishi is one such example. Mitsubishi made fighter planes, cars, consumer electronics, computers, non-consumer electronics, and appliances...among other things. Fuji is another conglomerate. Fuji Heavy Industries, anyone? What about Fuji cameras? But isn't one Fuji or Mitsubishi the same as the others? No. Each are different "divisions" that operate as completely different companies. They just belong to the same conglomerate and use the conglomerate's factories. That's the simplified version. Another reason to move on from Pearl Harbor is that it was a war and Mitsubishi didn't have much of a choice. Just like in WWII the US used all the autofactories for the war effort. Should the Germans turn up their noses to GM because of that? What about the Japanese?
  11. Croc

    wow

    what game? looks fun...
  12. Nothing's wrong with it. It looks better than the Cobalt, and is probably the best, most competitive vehicle in the Pontiac lineup, pending my inspection of the refreshed Torrent.
  13. ummm.....uses less fossil fuel?
  14. Can't agree entirely. New Mexico blows chunks if you're taking the 10, but it is really nice on the 40. Arizona rocks the 10, but on the 40 it is as enjoyable as an angry toddler.Won't object to North Dakota though my friend Allan disagrees.

    ...

Good review, but it sounds like it isn't quite ready for primetime yet?
  16. Why would you? I've done it in 75 minutes before...of course that was on the tollway and not @ peak hours, but still...
  17. Interior is a little stark...but it's nice.
  18. If I can drive there in 10 hrs or less I'll do it. If it's a big road trip, doesn't matter how long it takes.
  19. EXT/XL were as long as Tahoes but much narrower. Not as long as Suburbans...that's a stretch.
  20. Psh I don't know why she's famous either! But I'm not holding that against her...I'm holding that against America.
  21. Bowflex quality has been fine. Customer service has been excellent. When I first got mine in July of 2002 I had a plastic shield that mounted the power rods to the tower crack because I apparently overtightened the bolts. I received a new one for free within a week. My Bowflex was recalled...I wanna say a year ago? Maybe 18 months at this point. Apparently the bench could become unlocked and move when in use if you used a high amount of weight over a period of years. I was never affected by it, but I got the repair kit rush mailed to me with the recall notice for installing an extra latch to secure the bench. Perfect. Everything else has been great, and I really like most of the exercises I've tried on it. Definitely good. Paulie: You'll do it if you keep a log and schedule it. If not, congrats you have a 2x6 paperweight that set you back $2k. That's motivation enough for me...
  22. So you know her personally?Don't judge. If every "not perfect" thing you did were headline news you'd be talking differently. If no one cared, the media wouldn't use it to sell paper.
  23. Actually I believe her story. LAPD have been out of control this past year and love making examples of people. They've been handing out jaywalking tickets left and right on FRATERNITY ROW!!! Ummm I'm pretty sure it's OK to cross the street on a residential street even though it might technically be jaywalking if it isn't impeding traffic. Our Campus Security has had them leave for harassing students. It's ridic. LAPD making an example of Paris Hilton? Don't doubt it.
  24. Heh looks like they fixed Facebook...or at least made i way less obnoxious
  25. bes exercise you can do: squats. If I could only do 5 exercises, they would be: squats bicep curls bench press walking crunches
