  1. I sit here dreaming of Astro 2.0 with a Colorado frame and a 4.2 inline six and LEGROOM. I bet the general would sell a few to fleet at least with fleet managers trying to rescue their average gas mileage. CarSpyPics.com NoHeat.com
  2. The one thing I keep thinking is I wonder how many people rent a GM vehicle (like for a business trip) and make their decisions from that experience. If I owned a Toyota whatever, went out of town and rented a Impala would that change my perception of a GM vehicle. Well maybe. I know several people who have rented cars and use that as their verification on how they feel about the brand. I also think based on a sales standpoint that you want to have some margin left over and not cannibalize your retail sales with a rental bulk purchase. So maybe the general is doing exactly what they should? Carspypics.comCarspypics.com Noheat.comNoheat.com
  3. Its 1988 all over again. No really looks just like THAT truck. Maybe we're not taking retro far enough. At least the GMC will sell now.

My girlfriend has a 2005 Venture and after having a Grand Caravan I wouldn't say a Grand Caravan is really any better in day to day usage. I would drive a Venture over the Caravan just so I feel better about its reliabilty but of course this is just because I have had better luck with GM vehicles than Chrysler. I think its a shame that the Astro wasnt updated. It gave Dad something to drive that didnt require leaving his penus on the porch when they left.
  5. All those aggressive air intakes, which weren't being using anyway, increase drag. Drag is bad for fuel economy. Which one would want to make smooth if they were making a vehicle that will get good gas mileage. Such as...A Hybrid or base vehicle. The only thing you folks are missing are the bottom sills and really hard to read instrumentation. Wait for the redline for all of those cut outs to open up. If you think this car is bad what do will you expect the Camaro to look like with its 17 inch wheels and 2 inch higher ride height. Oh yeah and I bet you think those aggresive fenders will stay also. When you get done writing a post that says boo hoo. Go back and look at the 1993 Mach "Mustang" concept car. Camaro of 2005 is to 2009 Camaro how the 1993 concept was to the production Mustang. The Camaro will sell plenty, you will buy one, your neighbor will buy one and then you will trade it in for a four door SUV when your lease expires. The biggest problem here is that GM is trying to be Chrysler and sell concept cars, but these are lame concepts that are no more fantastic than the vehicles in your local Toyota lot.
  6. The fact that you are talking about that scene as rediculas as it sounds makes the money well spent. If only this were 1979 all over again and we had another smokey and Bandit.....and Pontiac had a firebird.
  7. Ok well I was busy watching the Bud Shootout and thought I would do a little pontiac for the contest.
  8. Hey this is kinda neat pictures of the Camaro Concepts in development. I notice a few componets that look productionish like the steering wheel. Any ideas? http://www.mph-online.com/web/prtranslated/00447
  9. Two points that make a Buick minivan more palatable. If you look at the Rendezvous and Buick in general you will see a high level of females purchasing. The minivan market is driven by women not men. So the bottom line is that Buicks demo age is going down but also turning female. I think a Buick minivan makes more sense than a Pontiac minivan personally. I might want to add though that when my wife wanted to get a minivan I really seriously looked at a Montana because it was less feminine. If the price would have been more competitive and had there been a 3800 or 3900 under the hood instead of a 3400 I would have leaned towards that minivan. We ended up getting a Caravan. If you can't beat them join them. There was just no denying that the Caravan was superior even though I long ago swore off Chrysler products. You know what would have been interesting and I wonder if GM would chance it, is a 5.3 V8 in a minivan. Sport Vans, might make minivans cooler. Just an idea.
  10. I have been saying this for a while, can you see the resemblance now.... Old Nomad Concept Car and... The black Camaro was done by heals120 Personally I can see both of those in my driveway now... Daily driver with the kids and then weekend toy
  11. Its the begining of the tv show "the office". As for the Camry, it will probably sell just as many copies. Will I see them no, they will blend into landscape. So you are actually looking at the worlds best selling non existant car.
  12. Hey btw nice avatar did you make that yourself? I just did mine, what ya think? Oh and I dont think the Impala or Malibu are boring, they may not have sporting character but they do have character nonetheless. The reason I dont like the Camry is there are absolutely no character at all, you could easily imagine a Hyundia badge on that car, change the grill and you have a Volvo. Seems to me Toyota is trying to ignore their own heritage and character.
  13. Holy that is one boring car. Its one of those cars that make Buick Centurys look sporty. The reason GM will not be the number one seller is apparently GMs cars have personality and maybe the masses would rather drive rolling appliances.
  14. Well when you dont have any other unique "features" hot window pisser commercials have to do it. Kinda like the Onstar and heads up display GM keeps forcing on their cars. Isnt it funny though, once GM gives up on the good idea someone else will take the ball and run with it. I predict Toyota being a super seller with plastic minivans, dust buster designs, 2 seat mid engine 4 cylinder sports cars, and blando buick boring clone pedestrian transportation. O wait they did.
  15. I love the styling of the Trailblazer I just know too many people who have had major mechanical issues with them. The stigma is huge. I don't want to see midsize car based SUVs because I still feel the need to tow something every once in a while and I want a real truck, they need to work out the bugs and rename them all maybe people will forget after a while.
