  1. Man, people are brainwashed!! [robot voice]It has innovative features[/robot voice] It has a trunk in the bed....that's all!!.....unless you consider low power and not quite real truck specs "innovative features"? If you actually put stuff in the bed, you are screwed if you get a flat tire: The tailgate is also not "innovative" as many people have pointed out that it has been done before.
  2. O.K. people, that's enough Honda love. Honda is just as shady as Toyota. Read the headline: "Honda sneaks up on Big Three". That's exactly what they are trying to do. Increase market share without building more American plants, and without anyone noticing. And just in case you were staring to like Honda a little too much:
  3. Making the Firepower hand built like the Viper, would give it a price tag like the Viper. They don't need two Vipers. For the Firepower to succeed as a V8, it would probably have to cost around $60K. I don't think that price would be possible while being a hand built vehicle. The Imperial, on the other hand, can be built at the Brampton plant, on a shared platform.
  4. Maybe a CCR concert??
  5. The grille was inspired by the grille of the '39: I think it most closely resembles the D'Elegance and Chronos concepts in body shape, except more upright with sharper creases as their current design direction dictates: The car can't be super wide, because it's based on a current, real, platform. So, you basically just restated that everything was ugly, but still didn't say why......except for saying that you thought it was too tall, and that it had a Chrysler badge.
  6. Dude, don't try and bring logic and reason into the equation when people are just calling vehicles "ugly", "fugly", "f---in ugly", etc. It might make them think.
  7. Nissan includes Infiniti, as both brands are sold here in the US......and their domestic content is 46%. End of story.......you can't spin it and say "I was just talking about the ones made here".
  8. You found your soundbites, now read these from the same article. Remember, the original argument was about the slowing of sales incentives: . Industry averages include very slow selling vehicles. The Prius is no longer in the top 10 fastest selling. . . .And, the best quote:
  9. Well, the quote in your post is not dated. I have no idea from what part of Allpar it came from. I looked in the 392 engine section, the LY platform section, and then found what I posted in the Challenger section.
  10. This is also from Allpar.....so who knows: Maybe the part you read about the 470 HP 392ci HEMI was written before the Viper was bumped to 600 HP??....and they didn't want the other SRT-8's treading into Viper HP territory??
  11. http://money.cnn.com/2007/02/08/news/compa...sales/index.htm
  12. Aren't those just estimates? I doubt they did any hardcore tests with a one off concept. Anyhow, there is a pretty solid "rumor" that states that the 2009 model SRT lineup, which would include the top model Challenger, will be getting a 500+ HP 392ci HEMI. That should take care of the GT500, unless it gets an upgraded powertrain by then.
  13. I'll take one with this hood ornament: I think the car is hot. They only need to work on the back end. If you can get one for around $50K, they will sell like mad. You people don't get it. Chrysler is really getting into flex-manufacturing. They can, and probably will, build 5 different models on the same line in Brampton. They don't all have to be mega high volume, but they do have to make a profit......and that will happen with a car like the Imperial.
  14. Thanks FOG! I really didn't feel like tearing apart that pathetic article!
  15. The only one coming off like an idiot is you, claiming to have been hurt by an armrest!! You were the one ranting about the "hard" armrest, and how there was no padded one available. So I showed you a padded one, and you then call me an idiot. I don't think the Avenger's interior is the best in class, and I know that other manufacturers are spending more money on theirs.....but that doesn't give you the right to lie about the interior options that are available. I'm willing to bet that the "hard" (probably soft, but not padded) armrest is only for the rear seat DVD player, and all the other models that don't have rear DVD, will get the padded armrest. It would be a waste of DCX's money to carry three different armrests for one vehicle. I don't defend Chrysler "at all costs", but I will defend it from people making asinine comments about things that are not true, simply because they don't like Chrysler.
  16. :rotflmao: You think someone is gonna get "hurt" on a non-padded armrest. I drove around for over two years with this armrest on my '02 Monte Carlo SS......and still kept my right arm!!
  17. Dude....look two post up.
  18. Upon further review, that armrest is the one with a flip up screen for a DVD player, are you going to be able to get that in the new Malibu?? I hope so.: There is also a padded one:
  19. And your point is? ......American consumers expect an incentive, and might not buy a vehicle without the expected incentive?? And for the 100th time, this incentive is probably for using Chrysler Financial, in which Chrysler will make way more than their incentive back by financing you. Don't look now, but the N. American car of the year, the Saturn Aura, has $500.00 cash back on the hood!
  20. To watch the commercials, click on the YouTube links at the bottom: Thanks to "Stratuscaster" from Allpar.com
  21. Looks like the Prius isn't the only Toyota that's bad in the snow: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dNrmUJ_aoWc Or maybe it's because the driver went to the University of Michigan ......Go Michigan State!!
  22. Well, if you can understand legalese.....here you go: http://www.epa.gov/OMS/url-fr/fr18jn98.pdf
  23. O.K., I finally opened the link. After going through all the trouble to highlight why the Dodge lost, why didn't you post this: What were the requirements for the test vehicles to keep the comparisons relevant?? It doesn't seem like there were any. I also have to take back that a Toyota probably never won the award before. It did, three times before....as did the Crown Victoria...twice.
  24. Without opening the link posted by 'TOYOguy'....I'm gonna guess that a Toyota won. I'm also gonna guess that 'TOYOguy' never posted any of the results from the last 100 years where a Toyota never won??
