So, my SS today decided to not have the right turn signal working. So, I did the normal thing since the SS has both a LF turn, and RT turn fuse, replace them both since they are original from 2008. Nope did not work, so I replaced the turn signal relay. Nope did not fix it either. Did a search and found in the SS forum that one member has had this issue and helped multiple others out as the SS Hazard relay powers the Turn signal relay and fuses. Usually, it is the right side that goes when the Hazard relay starts to die and sure enough if I turned on my hazards, only the left side of the auto blinked. So replaced the Hazard relay and all works now. $122 Hazard relay $42 Turn signal relay $0 cost as I had the 10amp fuses If I had gone to a GM dealership here, it would have cost me $250 troubleshooting fee and then $150 for the labor and the cost of the Hazard relay. So, I figure I saved myself $400 minus the $42 for the turn relay as they probably would not have changed it, but I am happy as I have new relays and fuses in all those places that had not been touched since 2008.

I found this product in Australia. Looking for it here in the U.S. as this is perfect for what I need for my backyard. Love the retaining wall with built in fence connection. If anyone finds a US supplier please let me know. Back to the Auto thing, it is amazing that people bitch about the new EVs being too big. Chevrolet Equinox EV Government Images Emerge In China Ahead Of US Launch (insideevs.com) The comments are just befuddling.

Yes, some are unable to handle the future with EVs as we move forward, and he wanted to stay in the past.

Yes, sight changes suck as at 56 years of age, my near sightedness has strangely gotten better and my farsightedness that was never a problem is now worse, and I have my first pair of progressive bifocals.

Yup, never understood having rims equal to the sidewall of a tire getting all scuffed up, but then most people seem to have no sense of their auto size, corners, etc. Sadly, my daughter is one that parallel parking is a hardship for her. So, I taught her in her 4x4 Durango to put the front tire up on the curb, then slowly drop it off so she is close. Never had a problem since then driving in the city and having to parallel park. She also has not scuffed the rims yet either.

Generac as well as all the other options I have researched from Home Depot and Lowes have such high maintenance. My sister got a Generac connected to her house and it auto kicks in when they have power outages which is very nice, but every 24hrs they have to add oil to the system and according to Generac this is normal due to the natural gas generator runs. Then they have to every 3 days if still on the generator do an oil change. Seems to be such high maintenance for a backup compared to the F150 Hybrid or EV bi-directional power option. Course Generac is much cheaper than the auto cost. So figuring when I do go EV, Hyundai/Kia/GM/Ford are my options right now as the Bi-Directional is a requirement for the wife and I.

Still getting pop up ads, but clicking follow did add a new icon onto my phone and I now have this quick access point.
-
This is what I see on my phone from the 3 dots in chrome. Latest versions of everything. I did click the follow cheers and gears so it changed to say following, but no install app option.
-
Yes, I have also noticed that this week that I now get pop up ads and ads all over. Not sure if the latest update changed something, but hopefully @Drew Dowdell can update us on this. I also cannot seem to get the app. Very frustrating.

Wife and I have been talking about EV or Hybrid for this very reason, the ability to run the house when we lose power. Last year's snowstorm with power out for 3 days really sucked.

GMC News: GMC Upsizes the Acadia for 2024; New 2.5L Turbo-4
G. David Felt replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in GMC Trucks
GMC Acadia AT4 Rocks What I like: Stance of this SUV, looks rugged, looks like a perfect tool to get around the PNW. Dark grill, tired of all the chrome on the Denali, which is Chrome Overload. Style is right on Green house is well proportioned ground clearance is excellent Front hood proportions is good even if this was an EV, it would have a great FRUNK Proper placement of the center top hood antenna Quad exhaust looks great Rim to tire proportions look good What I dislike: I know it is for crash safety, but belt line is a bit high for me D pillar looks like a major blind spot, I know for roll over protection probably Plastic wheel well with reflectors I am just not feeling as I think it looks awkward Interior is nice, but I really hope they offer more choices than the bloody damn BLACK only Interior Plastic rear bumper looks like it could easily be pulled off if caught on something when off-roading HATE the Chrome strip across the rear bumper Wish the plastic reflectors in the bumper would have led illumination. Over all, I like the stance, look of this SUV, but there are things that I just do not like as stated and a few more.- 29 replies

Wish they would build it like that, but I doubt it, not SUV enough. Sadly that as an EV would ROCK!- 29 replies

Interesting as the German Environmentalist take action against Tesla, Porsche, etc. for hurting the planet and ignoring the problems in the world. 10 Tesla Model Y EVs Burn In Frankfurt, Anonymous Letter Claims Responsibility (insideevs.com) Very cool Tech, have a Level 2 Bidirectional charger in your home so your Kia EV9 SUV can power your house for up to 4 days if you lose power. 2024 Kia EV9 bidirectional charging: Here’s how it will work (greencarreports.com)

Interesting read and I agree with much of the comments that Tesla will never reach 10 million let alone 20 million yearly auto sales with Musk as the CEO. Report: Tesla Next-Gen EVs To Initially Be Produced In Texas Instead Of Mexico (insideevs.com) Mexico GF is on hold indefinitely as Tesla has admitted they will have to have Engineers on site 24/7 to make sure the Robotaxi and 25K EV if it really happens will get built right and as of right now, Tesla Engineers have said NO to relocating to Mexico. Seems when a cheaper EV and taxis from Tesla happen, production at Austin is where it will be and scalling up at China and Germany where Tesla is laying off people due to low sales of their autos.

That is a huge assumption that a hand-built luxury SUV from Toyota would not sell. As is proof with the Lexus Line, the Century SUV & Sedan could very well sell under the Lexus line in many markets and in some it would sell just fine as a Toyota. I know for a fact that in Mongolia, having a Toyota pretty much means you have achieved the 1% crowd and Toyota is the product to strive for, not Mercedes, Not BMW, Not Audi, but Toyota. A few other products are like this, Jeep is one of those products that in Mongolia people with disposable income want a Jeep over Mercedes. This I know first hand due to my close Mongolian friends and having been there. It is crazy, but Toyota is what everyone strives for and even here in the U.S. Mongolians only want Toyota. The Century will never go away from being a hand built ubber luxury auto line due to the Japanese Royal Family only gets driven around in Century auto's much like how our president only gets driven around in a custom Cadillac.

Let's look at your math in this statement. Century @ 30 sold per month, @ $10,000 profit = $300,000 a month or $3.6 million a year for a niche product sold in Japan to Politicians, Executives and families in the 1% bracket that want a hand built Japanese product, not something that is imported from Germany. Corolla @ 100,000 sold per month, @ $50 profit = $5 million or $60 million a year for a generic appliance that requires considerable marketing, shipping to markets, etc. Yes, they make more initial profit on the Corolla, but they have costs that eat into that profit to sell this auto around the world. You have stated that Mercedes makes the best in the world and people who have money want to buy the best. You are ignoring those that want a product from their home country and have no problem paying for it. Same here there are those of us that will pay extra for American Made niche products of quality. Many Japanese buy these Century autos for their status. End of line!!!

Since like 99.9% of your posts you never actually give facts or website to verify your information, lets take a closer look at the Century. Century | Vehicle Gallery | Toyota Brand | Mobility | Toyota Motor Corporation Official Global Website Here is the actual press release of the all new 2018 Century Sedan, the first redesigned Century in 21 years. Toyota Rolls Out First Fully Redesigned Century in 21 Years | Toyota | Global Newsroom | Toyota Motor Corporation Official Global Website At this time, Toyota projected only 50 hand built units a month would make them money in a very small market as they dropped the V12 last available in the 2017 model year. As @surreal1272 clearly stated, a V8 Hybrid system started in the 2018 and went through the 2023 model year. Starting with the 2024 model year, both the Century Sedan and Century SUV will move to the V6 hybrid system. Toyota Century | Toyota Motor Corporation Website Official Century Sedan webpage for building and pricing out your Uber Luxury Sedan Toyota Century | Toyota Motor Corporation Website I do like it in the Red Mica Toyota Century | Price & Grade | Toyota Motor Corporation Website The Century has a certain elegance to it that is lost by the German brands in the last couple of Decades and Cadillac has recouped it along with Genesis.
