And Transportation Secretary Duffy says that if the shutdown continues for much longer, flights will be shut down just in time for Thanksgiving. Ain't it grand? So glad I have no plans on flying any time soon.

It's not about putting down the fork. It's about changing what that fork picks up.

That second sentence is all me as well. A lot of workshop and creating time instead of engaging in cesspool conversations with the same s*** stirrers around here..

While I agree with your overall position here, you have to accept your role in feeding the troll during all of this.

There used to be less of the childish political back and forth back then too. The increase in these posts has an effect on overall participation here. Sorry it has come to this @Drew Dowdell.

As opposed to the “original” designs from Kia and Hyundai that have borrowed from others for decades now? Make it make sense outside of your obvious anti Toyota bias.

Sure, if you’re drunk and forgot your glasses, then they look the same lol. Otherwise, if there was a Kia badge on that, you’d be praising the design. See the EV3 as an example.

Except for MOST of the old testament, sure, none of those things lol. The old testament contains more murder, rape, and death than many of the books and shows that evangelical freaks want to ban. It is pure irony at its finest. So, sure, Jesus taught love but to say that the bible does not somehow include all the bad stuff is laughable.

Fun fact. No one, and I mean no one, thinks their religion is a cult. They just exhibit “cult like” behaviors.

My mistake. Doesn’t change my core point though. His statement can still be correct overall, regardless of whether the building across from you is like that or not, especially given what I emphasized earlier regarding the location (and political leanings) of said places. ICE is a mess, end of story.

Horse said: ”ICE needs to be closed down, and a new Immigration department built with people who are human” What part of that or what he said before then has anything to do with the state of the building across the street from you? You seem to be missing the point for the difference in the two buildings (and the motives behind that). Both building contain the same problems where ICE is concerned. Or maybe you’re just being deliberately obtuse. Don’t know. Doesn’t matter. Carry on.

Maybe, just maybe, that is because you don't live in a target city or state as designated by the lead moron in D.C. The same mechanisms exist in the Fed building across the street from you as does the one's in Seattle or Portland. Don't let complicity disguise the actually facts.

Costco has killer deal on new Dell 16" touchscreen laptop with 32gb ram and 1tB SSD coming up for the holidays.
I'm not referring to software. I'm referring to hardware like TPM 2.0 (Trusted Platform Module). Those are things you cannot change after the fact and an example of how a "new" system can outdate itself with the OS because of hardware requirements like that. In principle, yes but see my above response. I am not speaking on overall build quality here (although that obviously factors). It is compatibility factors with Microsoft's ever changing set of rules for hardware makers that comes with every major OS release. And, for the record, you are not the only one with background here. I have worked, side by side, on Mac and Windows machines for the better part of 30 years now. Not a "noob" here lol.

😂😂😂 Not with the way Microsoft updates security hardware requirements with every new OS. There are so many systems less than 10 years old today that can't run Windows 11 for those very reasons. That is a trend that is not likely to improve in the next 10 years, especially with Intel running on Trump bucks these days. Fro the record, my wife's $1100 (at the time of purchase) HP touchscreen laptop was less than five years old when 11 came old and it lacking the newer security chipset killed that update. You can, in now way, assume ten years of use just because of that price and relatively mid-range CPU/GPU specs. The storage is average these days (capacity wise), and only the 32GB RAM extends its overall use. 16GB RAM is bare minimum these days.

Are you absolutely SURE about that? That dog might wait an extra day or two, unlike a cat (I own two btw so be careful with how you respond here) but make no mistake. A dog will have some finger food (literally) if they are starving. It is what happened with Gene Hackman and his wife and that was a small dog doing that. Educate yourself before thinking this is only a cat thing. Both cats and dogs are animals and all that "dogs are more loyal" BS doesn't fly come starvation time. That is a fact.

It is not on GM to account for $100K in aftermarket non-sense especially when it clear the problem was the aftermarket set up and not the car itself.

My vinyl count was pretty low over the years until the last six months or so. I have an old school console stereo from my birth year (1972) with a great sounding little turntable on it. Even has a working 8-track with eight tapes! I picked it up about two years ago for $25 at a thrift store and only had to replace a $14 cartridge! Since then, I have slowly (until the last six months lol) built up my old school collection. Hasn't gotten too out of hand but one must always be wary!

Same. Either art creating, music listening, E-bike riding (when the hips allow it lol), or project building these days.
