  1. Yeah, yeah-you and your family's bad luck..heard it before... And looks aren't everything....I've seem some pretty good looking pieces of $h!.... :AH-HA_wink: Now, if you had the 'Fire with the 2.4, I could feel for ya.... Hopefully, after a few fixes, she should run ok... BP gas sucks-ALOT-I'd better be running out of gas before I'd hit a BP station, which is a shame, because it used to be good gas...
  2. That's not bad. Sadly, my wagon's PLPD is higher than that...
  3. I want to give it a try... Just have to get a new bike...
  4. Yep.
  5. Nah, you just gotta take a good look at them. Keep in mind most people who drive em' new are young and beat the crap out of them. :AH-HA_wink: THough I do agree with destroy and off idea..... Though these are the last Js I will own..they are killing me on insurance though...
  6. The man speaks the truth. Though I think a lot depends on the previous owners....this really sounds like a beat up J. All my Js have been problem free...expect for the little stuff.... My 14 year old -rusted like crazy-with over 140k-has less issues than that..... I have to replace some stuff now, only due to the fact my fuel system is old, and needs replacing...(hello, new IAC valve) Have you considered setting the Sunfire on fire-and collecting the insurance?
  7. It's crazy when the insurance is more than the car payment...just, ouch, ouch.....
  8. Of those 5-none of those would be a small car or Dodge, would it? For a good laugh I found out how much a Neon would cost to insure...wow, just wow....
  9. Yeah-it saves me about 150 bucks a year with a 550 deductable (tops) on both cars... I have Plpd on the wagon....and full coverage on both 03 and 04 Cavs.... I have been thinking about that-I wonder how much an 03 Craplier is really worth, anyways?
  10. Ouch. Why?
  11. Frankly, I' like some cheaper insurance, please. What I'm thinking: 1- Keeping my insurance as is for now ( I have AAA). My agent told me that cheaper rates are on the way. I know AAA is on the higher end, but one thing that has impressed me about them is that I have had great service, which is hard to find. I also believe you shouldn't always run to the cheapest rate all the time, because I have seen friend burned by doing just that.. 2-Taking a risk and trying something new (I pan to shop around anyways). I would like to find a company that I could stick around with for a while.....I'd rather pay a few extra bucks a month than pay out the butt for/after an accident. Downside to this I might end up with higher rates, since two people have tried to take out her car in the last 6 months... 3- Both our cars are nearly paid off...just drop them down to plpd (basic) rates.... Both are Chevy Crapiers (which seem to have high rates anyway) Downside to this is if they get totaled I get nothing. (they aren't worth much anyways-I'd be lucky to get more than 3 grand) On the other hand,I have already started saving for my new car, and will start saving for hers next month. So if they did get totaled, I could just go out of buy a new one...(helllooo GM... :AH-HA_wink: ) Comments....I'm curious to see what you guys/gals think. Ideas? Suggestions?
  12. Yeah. Sadly, the wife test drove one and liked it...good news is-it has car insurance like the Neon-HIGH. :AH-HA_wink: That is too funny...of course-I get that a lot here in Michigan-we don't even wave here anymore...maybe he was saying hi.. Then again-it could be my driving...
  13. I'd switch back to Dex cool and see what happens... It also depends on how/where you drive. I plan on changing the wife's Cav's coolant around 40k, due to the fact the car does a lot of city driving, and she always has everything in the car on.... On the other hand, thw wagon has only had 2 coolant changes in 140k miles.... So, it would depend. And the water pumps are an issues only related to the J-bodies, as it doesn't seem to be as much of an issue with other cars....
  14. Agreed. though I might not want to do that in an older engine... Or one with well over 100,000 miles... I've left the wagon on it's own dino oil....with so many miles, I do not want leaks everywhere... Her car has has mobil 1 since it turned 10,000 miles... My neighbor's cobalt is going to start with a blend-then get Mobil 1 (or Valvoline) after it hits 10k itself.. (he bought it used with 2500 miles on it..)
  15. I'm guessing that it will be that price for everyone in a few months....
  16. mmm..I will have to look into this Newegg thing.... I've been looking for a sweet, fast computer for a while.....
  17. Since we drive a couple of Crapilers....I'm going to say no. Her car is almost paid off, and the with a little work on the wagon. I should be able to get better gas milage with that.... So I'm not too worried yet...
  18. Hmmm...I like! It depends with me.... I'll usually keep em for a while.. With the wife the car will be leased for now on...
  19. Newegg? I've heard of that somewhere before...
  20. Yep-it's loooking that way...
  21. And I've used the geeksquad before...Mmm..yeah. Though they do have some good techs out here... But also I've noticed the product is getting crappier....with HP/Compaq and emachines being the worst....
  22. I wish it was a custom computer.... It's an emachines, which is supposed to be a temp computer until I either built a custom one, or picked up a dell... Not fun I must say...
  23. Yeah, yeah. I had plans to but one in a few weeks just for that... The pics I had on it were going to disk the next day.... Talk about timing, huh?
  24. Yep...and no luck.
