  1. 93ish.
  2. I'd get it...it is a fun drive. Trust me. As far as the Saturn-gas prices should make it easy to sell soon (heck, I'd buy it if I had the cash) As far as the sebring-it's a matter of taste....I like the Dodge better though...
  3. Thanks. I think I'm going to go ahead and replace the cat...I have a feeling( thanks to you guys) that it is probably the issue.... Hopefully it's not too pricey....
  4. The wagon has v8 milage right now..... and city driving isn't helping either. The only saving grace is that is does just local driving at the moment...as it seems to be getting worse as it has been warming up the last few weeks....
  5. Yep. And there are going to be some good deals since the car has aged a bit....
  6. Hmmm... Besides the fact that the trans are not strong ( I hope she's a driver who is easy on cars), and the fact that I've seen some 00-01s with RUST on them, they aren't bad cars. And they will run (most of the time) 100-150k without too much do to. The Motors seem to hold up...... 02-03s will go for about 4995-7995 here....
  7. I guess I'm lucky I got 14 years put of that cat then. I've been replacing a few parts thinking it might be a fuel issue (Map sensor, etc) , I never thought it owuld be the cat. Would straight piping be an issue with city driving? I might just replace the cat- hopefully that might help. Does a bad cat cause really rough idle?
  8. Now that would be nice. I don't think I pull 200 miles out of a tank now....better gas milage would be sweet too. This thing used to have great get up and go....
  9. Yeah, Jeff should win this year...
  10. Yeah! Quoted for truth.
  11. Very true...and women tend to love this car...so having no stick might piss off a few guys..that's about it.

Hey, at least it's better than my goofy pic.... :AH-HA_wink:
  13. I was thinking the same thing. About how much does a Cat run? 100 bucks? 150?
  14. Most have the auto out here. A lot depends on where you live...
  15. So with the GM discount it'd be right around 20 grand. Not bad. Actually, that's fine. I think people will pay the extra price anyways. If they are that worried about it-offer a small rebate on it when it first comes out so it will ease the pain a bit. Heck, give the Saturn owners some bonus cash when the turn their old Saturns in......
  16. Wow, that's a goor read, 98. Some of that sounds like my car too. But I wondering how I could tell the difference between it being the cat or say, the IAC valve. Though thinking about it, replacing the MAP sensor didn't help much, it didn't fix the rough idle...
  17. 93 Cavalier Wagon w/ the 3.1. 140,000 miles And I get both a rough idle and bad gas milage. So a clogged Cat can cause rough idle? Like shaking bad? I checked to see if it turns red and such-but no luck. Though the car doesn't drive that far anywhere at the moment, so that might not help me... It got plugs and wires at about 125k, though it was a few years ago.... I was think IAC valve, but now I'm wondering.... The cat has been on the car since new.
  18. I could go either GMC or Saturn. THough I like the Saturn price..(for those who don't need all the toys..) I'm considering a few Saturns... I'd like an Astra 5-dr XE..... Though I love the look of the Aura....
  19. I haven't seem one of those in a while...

    WTF? Oh-wait that's me... :AH-HA_wink:
  21. Anybody?
  22. daves87rs

    ouch

Yep. Though this is one of the few things I'd rather have GM parts for.. I've seen a shop do it and watch it blow again in 5,000 miles...
