2008 Cadillac CTS: Image Gallery
its based on who I see driving them on the roads, and those shopping in the BMW dealers when I go there. I forgot to add another stereotypical group. The style seeking Asians who finally were able to ditch the Prelude coupe and get something upscale. Conversely, the set that drives the 5 series seem to be quite different.

2008 Cadillac CTS: Image Gallery
I maybe have seen more than 2 people in a 3 series maybe once in the last year. I've seen plenty of CTS with folks in the back. At auto shows I get in the back when others are in the front. The rear of the CTS is a nice place to be. I do commend BMW for making a good front seat perch in their 3's but I've never been able to wedge into the back of the 3 series and be comfortable. Plus the CTS has more usable elbow room for all passengers.

regfootball replied to Variance's topic in North American International Auto Show in Detroit (NAIAS)FRAMELESS GLASS DOORS, NEVER AGAIN. had 2 dia's with em and never again. worst moment. getting into the car clipping an earlobe on the sharp edge of the door glass. PAIN PAIN PAIN. not to mention the seal is never as good as framed. and honestly the diamante did the frameless glass pretty well, built precise, its just inherently an undesirable design.

FIRST LOOK: 2008 Chevrolet Malibu
looks cheeseball in those pics. if GM simply replaced the steering wheel, radio and climate controls with something that looks EXPENSIVE then maybe it would look ok.

2008 Cadillac CTS: Image Gallery
so put a 6'2 driver in the front and a six footer in the back. the cts is wider also. more room. take away the 3 series sales to a- californians (3 series is basically in california what a civic is in other parts of the country) b- small mocha sucking women with egos c- small metrosexual image conscious guys and generally you won't find many people of average size and above driving 3 series cars. on the flip side you often see cadillac drivers who are um, ample sized. a much better true cross section of the amurchan population which again is why cadillac is better off selling a larger car

PIERCINGS AND TATTOOS
OK. I am at the pizza store getting a pizza to go and I am noticing the really hot chick bending down in front of me writing a check or whatever at the register to purchase her pizza. We're talking brunette 5'10 sexpot thin and leggy with a great ass and impressive rack. She has TIIIIGHHHT stretch pants on. Ok, i am watching. Inevtible in the britney spears era is the whole half an ass sticking up over the top of her waistline. Nice and tan. VERY NICE. except HUGE TATTOO. WTF? Its not like i need a target. i know what I am aiming for. Now, I have no issues with the part about if you want a tattoo, get one etc. I am just one of those that thinks the canvas (i.e. skin of a human, in my case, female) is a hellova lot nicer than the art (tattoo). why would you spoil such a fine looking ass with a tattoo? Piercings. The chick making my pizza had a nose ring. I really don't care, i just think the human form looks better without. So, informal survey, who likes tattoos and piercings? Who thinks they are attractive? I don't mind them, I just think the person looks better than the junk.

Pontiac G8/Holden Commodore Confirmed
what are your interior beefs? i mean, i know its missing about 14 dash vents compared to the last Bonneville, but man, the Commodore's interior is pretty hands down better than anything GM already offers. This car needs to offer the 3.6 v6. either or both the 260hp version and the 300hp di version in additon to the v8's. The 300hp v6 would be all I need.

sorry, you need the AWD. RWD alone doesn't cut it. It has nothing to do with easing my mind, it has everything to do with people in my climate NOT BUYING RWD only cars. ESP is not a substitue for weight over drive wheels. No ESP will help a RWD car up an icy inclined driveway to get into your garage. People want to get their car into their garage. They want to move quickly away from stoplights in icy pavement. For buyers there is no electronic substitute for gravity on drive wheels. END OF DISCUSSION. i.e. I, and zillions of others, do not put this car on my shopping list unless I can have AWD. Its the same thing with a Trailblazer. I have no interest in a trailblazer unless i can get AWD. Why do you suppose the bmw's, mercedes, G and M inifitis, Lexus GS/IS, etc. , cadillacs, all offer the AWD? Why does the 300 offer AWD? you want Pontiac dealers to actually be able to sell cars, right? People don't make car payments on cars unless they can drive them all year round.

2008 Cadillac CTS: Image Gallery
the stick car should have a handbrake. there is no excuse for this. apparently, someone in detroit felt left out about not being able to give this car a signature detroit cue. the size comparo to the 5 series is interesting. it makes sense. first off, Americans (especially middle America) doesn't want a small useless car like a 3 series. Secondly, in order to stay in business, Caddy needs to sell in volume. They CAN sell a car this size, Caddy could not give away something the size of a 3 series in enough volume to keep dealer's doors open. Case in point, where my dad would consider a CTS, he would in no way consider a lilliputian device like a 3 series to be suitable transport. Also, the chassis which is shared with the STS and SRX is this size. Going smaller means a new chassis, which could not be shared as much for flexible cadillac production. Lastly, if they want a small Cadillac, they can just sell the BLS here, but would not need to sell it in huge volume. The size of the CTS means a great value proposition, and American brands have always been able to deliver on value. The value of the CTS (same car for less money) puts a 5 series to shame, consequently, if you compare a G35 to the CTS, for the same price you get more car for the money.

Toyota Stages World Debut of All-New 2007 Tundra CrewMax @ NAIAS
and ford sells what, a million trucks a year compared to honda's measly 50k? the best thing in life is knowing i don't drive a honda or toyota. i could put an empty pop can on some training wheels and I'd have the same thing. oh wait, the pop can doesn't rust out.

i like the new radio controls, but why do they have to devote so much space and focus on the dash to a stupid analog clock? I would rather have the radio and climate controls up higher. the clock thing is tired old and cliched. SICK OF IT. Actually, I prefer the looks of the current CTS. I like the more techo / chunky stance and the more square taillights. But the interior on this one is a lot nicer, even if its soft and lexus curvy. Never can seem to get it all in one, hmmmmmmm. Still this car will be a huge hit.
