  1. i've ditched a couple rwd cars (when i was in HS) because of fishtailing. And both times with bad weather, yet with EXTREME care I might have been able to avoid it. Then I had my original SHO w/ FWD and drove the PISS out of it and never never encountered any problems with traction and control. Well, one time I hydroplaned bad on fresh rain but I literally had no tread left to drive on when that occured. Like 2/32" or something.

Denny has brought his new team play to Arizona. It's official, retread QB, no running game, score a lot, can't play D, will choke by end of season, taking a knee. But you will find Denny Green on the high road with his hands on the plow.

The Rams played well, i caught part of that game. Marc Bulger has a tremendous cannon for an arm and is terribly accurate. i was surprised how the rammy's played considering Scott Linehan's antics up here in MN were not terribly fruitful. Of course, though, Culpepper was his QB, so there. Culpepper is terrible. They say Linehan is well organized, so maybe he will prove good as a head coach. I think he's overhyped. Haslett as a def coord. and is a great coach and was a major coup and it looks like the Rams care about defense now. I could see haslett coaching the steelers when Cowher takes a break soon. Bruce appears to have regained form and Holt is awesome as always. Steven jackson needs to learn to get positive yards more often. Like toyota, he needs to be moving forward. Chiefs, new crappy coach, no al saunders, no Willie Roaf, no Tony Richardson. Herm is terrible. Now I am totally glad i didn't outbid my league mate for LJ in my FF auction.

Apparently! But hey at least Kitna didn't throw any picks! He's bound to get about 25 of them by seaosn end. he and Favre will have a contest.
  8. no mention of another car involved. 'tail happy' 'rear drive car'? (redundant terms by the way). One reason why FWD is so popular with the masses. that sort of stuff is why I shy away from having a RWD car. Too much work required to keep it pointed straight. Hard to drink the latte and keep the car from being a bitch at the same time. Although in case it seems as though the driver was doing the fun and gun on purpose. It would be interesting to see if the GXP's stabilitrak would have helped.

  10. good job! the ONLY misgiving with this vehicle is that the 3.5 with 250+ hp is not available as an option. I personally hope this puts a dent into Rav4 and CRV sales. Because it deserves to. Especially the lame ass four cylinder only CRV.
  11. i didn't like the 07 camry's interior (i've sat in them) and the exterior does nothing for me either.,
  12. bingo maxima, altima, CVT for 07. its just the beginning
  13. almost a reglike comment there
  14. they probably made the 8 speed for Cadillacs and to sell to BMW.
  15. Please vote! Bring back the Firechicken? My question was inspired by Harley Earl's sig. I love that Firebird chop but can do without 'the chicken'. I would be ok with a subtle firechicken on select special models. Like say 5% of production.
  16. imagine a new Fiero with the new direct injected turbo charged 4, as a BASE engine, and a twin turbo 3.6 direct inject as the optional motor. "there were no Chevette parts used in the remaking of this Fiero"
  17. ROTFLMAO you never know when those chinese will go chery picking
  18. i hope so. i think there is to be an SS Eq. with 3.6
  19. evo is a small boy racers rice car. its too small. too japanese. TL/SSV sized cars are perfect.
  20. i always come in on the front page and it rarely seems changed. there's not a lot of industry topics or news posted and traffic seems slow. however, i know it takes a lot of work. It just depends what our collective resources are now.
  21. I only put the Malibu up higher than the Pontiac due to its greater functionality. I think Chevy needs to address the interior and exterior of the car and I would still like to see the SS get the high feature v6. Alas, 2008 brings a new Malibu. Hopefully, all around it addresses many things. I think I might even be tempted to move the Galant Ralliart up higher. This is a car that will sneak up the list. The basic Galant v6 is a good all around performer, it lacks in interior and some detail refinement. The Ralliart package should get it very close to the Accord in performance and upgrade the looks and interior as well. I am predicting good magazine reviews for this car when it hits. They will still knock its weaknesses but like the overall package.
  22. it bombed because it was new and more expensive. Now, stability control is hardly more costly than basic ABS. But to you it is perceived as expensive, only because the automaker tries to use it as a profit center and way to upsell to higher models.
  23. I hope it remains a 'logical' thought when the bust comes in the meantime, thanks for your business!
  24. ok, are you on crack? if the SSV Grand Prix were here not only does it have RWD, and a 360+ hp v8 and is better looking, its also a better value. and the CTS is a HELLOVA lot more appealing car than the TL.
  25. wait a minute, did you really say that with a straight face?
