  1. that wasn't the SC cobalt either. the civic has a better 0-60 than the non SC cobalt. one for them, but I want to see the 5-60 times. the high strung ricers usually have much worse 5-60 times than the 0-60+high rpm clutch drop times. wow, the non SC cobalt has much better mileage for a better 1/4 mile time too. HMMMMM, so much for wonderful honda fuel efficiency with that VTEC too...........
  2. it just goes to prove the flaws in depending on mass transit to an extremely high percentage.
  3. that cobalt does not rev to 8000 rpm to make that scorching qtr mile time! how could it possibly be that fast!
  4. wrong magazine! Car and Driver twists their results to reflect personal bias based on gotta have it factor!
  5. the motor trend car of the year testing. the cobalt was even NON supercharged!!!!!!!!! imagine that! the cobalt 2.4 outdoes the power machine Civic in the 1/4 mile!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. and they want to get us out of our cars msn unions and mass transit, a lovely mix. happy holidays, big apple
  7. fire the bean counters please........
  8. the charger has bad looks. not dreadful, just queer. musclecars shouldn't look queer. that's probably not the right word, even. it looks 'tortured' or something. uncomfortable? help me out here.....
  9. just was reading M/T's rag again why is it that the lowly Cobalt SS sedan had a better 1/4 mile time than the supposedly awesome neck snapping power machine with the 8000 rpm they call the Civic si? for a car that pins its hopes on performace and the Si cannot beat the cobalt in the 1/4 mile.
  10. whoops, wrong topic.
  11. the two reviews i've read of the car they cannot seem to crit its manners, only its interior and GMness.

  14. prius vs. civic hybrid....now there's an enthusiast comparo.
  15. the focus is the top quality subcompact right now.
  16. if the ridgeline is an 'upscale' vehicle, why is the interior so heinous in comparison ot the nicely trimmed leather interiors of the F-150?
  17. the aztek provides more room and versatility and gets better real world mpg and that's why one is in my driveway as opposed to the element.
  18. LOL, true, except the overly wealthy urban liberals who get to the point in life where they decide it may be quaint to own a truck and consumer reports tells them so.
  19. can you even shut the fking tailgate with a half sheet of plywood in the bed?
  20. you obviously haven't sat in a fusion yet. its put together quite nicely ln the inside.

  23. "As for safety, one might think Toyota would give all its family oriented Camry sedans standard front side air bags and head-protecting curtain side air bags. After all, both types of air bags are standard on the Kia compact economy car, which starts at $10,570. However, those bags are a $650 option for all Camry sedans."
  24. suntimes my favorite line.... "With the Camry, Toyota may have perfected the family car,'' Toyota says. Let's hope not. Cars such as the new Ford Fusion cost less, are just as practical and are far more fun to drive.
  25. insde and out, good job chevy. get a 3 spoke steering wheel in it and a newer engine with better fuel economy and wham, this thing will FLY out of the dealerships. i sure hope this thing crash tests ok.
