  1. Haha, there's probably enough parts in my garage to build something. There was a couple guys getting parts to rebuild a first gen neon, said thaty wanted to keep it going, so good for them! Yep, i can't wait to get these in the car (and out of the living room) Yes, Sixty8 gets parts for his & Series and his Mercedes there. He would know better than me what the sections is though. Nope, just pay $60 each time. I saw someone lope off a nice dual exhaust off a 3rd gen Camaro. It is a 2 person job...barely. We almost dropped it twice. I still can't believe we managed to carry all of that out, plus some thing he got! How it works is that you pay for the number of people carrying something out. So if 1 person carries it's $60, if 2 it's $120 (what I paid) , and so on. We carefully arranged the stuff on a hood laying nearby, tied it down, then dragged it using a could hood props (while carrying our toolboxes) to the start line. Then summoned the strength to get it across the finish line. Ted, I fully encourage you to go...it's a like a toy store for car guys where everything is 75% off! Taking seats out is easy. If you're unsure about how to take something apart, buy a repair guide for your Achieva, and practice in the junkyard. If you breaks something, no loss.
  2. Exactly moltar, while the economic conditions aren't GMs fault, their blunders over the past 2-3 decades are all their doing.
  3. We're aware of it, it'll be changed soon.
  4. Yes, and I'd like to pick up a copy of GTA4 too. Oh and Team Fortress 2.
  5. No, you can drag it to the line but you have to carry it a certain distance. I think it's like 20 yards or so. Also it had no wheels on it. What a pity though, it was a dark metallic gray and the body was good. However the engine was dead and it was already missing parts.
  6. The cake was not a lie! Thanks guys Besides being sore today was great. We went out for dinner yesterday at Outback...where I found out they combined my two favorite dishes. 1/3 rack of ribs and 5 oz breast Alice Spring's Chicken...it was a match made in heaven. I no longer have to choose. Today I took inventory of my goodies from the junkyard, and happily discovered that the stuff on the passenger seat came off easily. Installed my new video card, which just barely fits. There is literally 1mm or less space between the back of it and the drive housing. Happily my computer is very well ventilated. Nice power increase. Haven't tried any games yet, but so a nice boost in flash video performance. Will test it out more soon. Had a birthday gift certificate for Fuddruckers, and since I hadn't been there in a while Jessica and I went there for dinner. Cost $7 for two meals...what a deal! And the food was fantastic. Went to Autozone for leather wipes and found out ArmorAll was half off, so I got 2 for $5. Tomorrow I should have a battery for the Intrepid, so I can actually drive it around, so yay. Oh and the patent attorney I redesign his website for is offering to pay for and file a trademark for my website name. He also showed me how to check if there's a US Trademark on names. Good times.
  7. I'm going to retract my previous statement: Firefox is being extremely slow lately. This is especially noticeable on newgrounds where the page takes a while to load, and there is noticeable lag when the movie window pops up. However I tried it on IE7 and it was lightning quick. I hope they fix the issue soon. As for C&G It was slow when I did maintenance (obviously) and sometimes take a little longer to load, but this would have happened on the old server too if it didn't time out and crash. Otherwise C&G runs fine.
  8. Cool, thanks! I feel I must say this again: I love ArmorAll. I got the leather wipes tonight and tried it on the driver's seat. What a difference!
  9. Did anyone like the Batman Beyond series?
  10. Great examples. A synopsis of Full Metal Alchemist: If interested, there's more details on wiki
  11. I want my future house to be basically nestled in the woods, with a long driveway to get to the road. When I delivered, I once went to a house that was like this. It had a long driveway that went through woods, there was a small stream that ran under a bridge, and then a clearing for the house and yard. That is my dream house.
  12. I can't say that I'm sad to see him go. He made lots of promises but failed to deliver far too many of them. I hope they replace him with someone like Allen Mulally. Someone with determination, directions, and doesn't put up with bull$h! and internal bickering.
  13. AB is reporting it: http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/29/breakin...gm-immediately/
  14. It's not for everyone, I think that's the easy way to put it. You either like it or you don't. Although I have made a few converts.
  15. All reports are saying this is based one the Azera platform, so if that's true then it's FWD.
  16. Reading this thread it's pretty apparent that most of those who don't like it seem to be basing it on stereotypes or preexisting conditions. Those that have watched it appear to have sampled the wrong one to suit their tastes, and so now that first impression is stuck with them. Kind of like the guy who refuses to buy American because his Ford Pinto caught fire 20 years ago. And just like that guy, convincing him to think otherwise is ultimately futile in most cases. I don't really feel like arguing today anyway, so I'll leave it at that.
  17. I did say mainly didn't I? Mainly implies majority but not all. For every "Family Guy" there's probably 20 "Dexter's Laboratory" Again, it all depends on what you watch as far as plot and such goes. What anime did you watch? Do you remember? As far as the voice acing, I tend to agree that it can be off putting, which is why I like dubs that are done well. However sometimes they're just so bad that if you want to watch the good version you have to put up with the shieking voices. I think One Pieces is the best recent example of butchering. It's not my sort of thing anyway, but what 4Kids did to it was just horrible. I'll probably always recommend Full Metal Alchemist for plot, quality of voice acting, and it's ability to bled lightheartedness with darkness. One other thing is that a lot of the really good animes require more investment than 2 episodes to get into the plot. Many American cartoons have a "plot" that spans the length of one episode, maybe 2 or 3 every so often. There are animes that do this too, and there are American cartoons that do what I'm about to mention, but anime often times has an "episode plot" but contributes to a larger, grander plot that will most likely spread the entire season, if not the who series. I haven't watched any new anime in like...2 years so I can't recommend anything new though. -- As far as style goes, I will agree that at a glance anime looks pretty similar from one to another. However this is because when you follow realistic anatomy, you're not going to find cartoony (more creative if you will) proportions. Instead the styles are defined through more subtle means, such as the yes, nose hair design, mouth, and shading techniques. You could spot Akira Toriyama's work a mile away by looking at the telltale traits of his character designs.
  18. I've heard stories of a group people carrying entire cars out.
  19. Yeah it looks JUST LIKE a MKS.
  20. I'm going to say this once more: American cartoons are aimed mainly at little kids, whereas most anime we see is aimed for young adults/adults and therefore features content that reflects this. Companies try to dumb it down for Americans, and the results are thus. As far as your issue with character design, it's stereotyped that way but there are plenty of animes that aren't styled like that. Also, you have to keep it in mind that many other regions like Japan and Europe are a lot more open about sex than our prude (but very violent) society. The pretty boy thing can be weird, I'll admit that. But again, this isn't something you see in every single anime. loki, I loved the Angry Beavers when I was younger too! MUSCULAR BEAVER!! WOOSH!! FOG, I'm surprised (or maybe not) to find you think it lacks substance, since the plots run far deeper, more interesting, and complex than anything you will find produced here.
  21. I was trying to figure out how to work that in myself. Thanks! Now if you'll excuse me, I have a video card to install.
  22. Oh and another exception to the rule (although it's 3D animated) is of course Beast Wars. Great story and lots of depth to the characters. They were also very clever at bringing more mature themes in while still being able to be shown to young ones. Of course, when Fox got a hold of the series they absolutely raped it.
  23. We have a small yard that at one point had five trees.
