It's Here: The 2010 Chevy Camaro configurator
Intrepidation replied to Intrepidation's topic in Chevrolet
The more I look at it the more I think this is the one for me. I really like the orange and the way the black contrasts with it. I'm almost tempted to go with the black wheels, but black wheels just aren't my thing. I've also gotten over the SS front end, as the V6 model looks closer to the concept (I still like the SS front end though). I might pony up and get the *gasp* automatic for the extra fuel economy. This would be the everyday car I could drive even when gas prices go up again. The automatic would make for a comfortable commute, and plus GM's automatic (if it's geared like the CTS) and the paddle shifters is even better than the manual. So if I add the automatic it'd be $33,745. I would have to drive both to determine which transmission I'd ultimately want. The Challenger R/T would have a manual. -

How ancient is your computer? -
Indeed.
-
Yep, the bumper makes a world of difference.

Well apparently a lot of members care, and I care because I like choice, and because the Aveo is a piece of $h!.

That's all well and good, but once again GM and building 2 cars that will compete with each other more than the competition. a Chevy and Cadillac is fine, but since Buick is premium, the pricing would get close to the Cadillac I would suspect. Of course they could make them look nothing a like, but GM's track record for differentiation has been hit or miss (with a lot more misses). I mean whatever, it's good to see a RWD getting some actual use (until they cancel 2 of the 3 models 4 months before production starts), I just wonder about that whole brand overlap/competition that has plagued GM for decades.
-
Yeah, I've seen plenty of DTS's and a few STS's, just not a new CTS. I've always been impressed with how GM managed to pull off a pink color and not make it look tacky...mostly white diamond with a subtle hue of pink.
-
a new G6 sedan in blue. The new front end is certainly an improvement. Shame the interior still sucks.
-
So...why would you have a Luxury Cadillac and a Luxury Buick on the same platform? Nothing like overlap.
-
I was referring to the bumper design more being a huge improvement. As for the grill, that's not the production version, but it is differently shaped than the current.
-
So it it were FWD it would get like 80 hundred mpg cuz FWD is so much more efficient.

Both of those came to town several years ago. I remember it clearly. It was the first war spec B-34 I had ever seen in the air. However the real story for me was the 909. That plane was immaculate (and I prefer B-17s). It looks brand new, started up brand new...all of the control surfaces were straight and shiny. Not a drop of oil anywhere. The restoration work was most impressive. Of course it had also been rerestored recently at the time after a landing accident which heavily damaged it. It was a stark contrast to the Memphis Belle (movie version) that came by a few years later, which had worn control surfaces, lots of oil slick around and behind the engines, worn plating, and it was grounded at the airport for months due to engine problems. As for the B-52, it's a cool bomber....it looks a lot better than the early models did. However it lacks teh beauty of the B-17

I posted this on allpar and they are telling me that it was actually saved by Mopar Performance. It being on teh flatbed was most likely on its way there. This is further backed up because Chrysler has a crusher on site, so there wouldn't be a need to hail it somewhere to be scrapped. If that's the case it makes me happy to know it'll be saved, even if it's just one.

I was thinking it could pull a house off of its foundation.

Wow, I like bikes but $2,500 is just too much for me! -
The front end changes are a big improvement IMO.

GM continues to make steady progress readying updates for its heavy-duty pickups, including a minor face-lift. Originally thought to be badged as 2010 models, new information now pegs the revisions for the 2011 model year. The one-ton Chevrolet Silverado 3500 in this picture sports the same grille as the current half-ton Silverado 1500, but as we first reported last year, we think it's temporary. A different grille with better fitment is likely in the works. The front bumper, however, is believed to be ready for production. GM has softened the huge metal flares at the corners of the current Silverado HD's bumper by topping off the uppermost portion with plastic from end to end. The inlet in the middle of the front bumper feeds air to the truck's transmission oil cooler. It's about a third larger than the current inlet, which makes us wonder about the changes GM has in mind for the V-8 Duramax diesel's Allison transmission. The Duramax is expected to receive a significant increase in horsepower and torque next year (well over 700 pounds-feet of torque, sources tell us) as well as meet the toughest clean-diesel emissions standards in the world. 2009 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 PickupTrucks.com

BMW DesignworksUSA Creates a Unique Computer-Gaming Tower

Lights are nothing special. They look cool, but they're hardly unique. My computer case has 6 small bands of LEDs stacked on top of each other. They are blue under normal operation, and Red when the computer's PSU hard power switch is turned off then back on. I also 2 blue LED fans to light up the interior. -

Try Cntrl+Tab+Up If that doesn't work, try the following: If you are able to navigate Windows with the monitor display as it currently is verify that the display settings for the monitor cannot be changed through a display manager or display utility by looking for any icon in the systray related to your video card. For example, NVIDIA's utility may look similar to the icon shown here (). If a utility is found in your systray that is associated with your video card, right-click this icon and try to locate any rotation settings. In the case of the NVIDIA utility, the user should locate Rotation Settings and be able to select this option to rotate to 0 degrees. If you are unable to locate any utilities displayed in your systray or any rotation settings, open your display properties by clicking Start, Settings, Control Panel, and double clicking the display icon. Within display properties, check the settings tab for any additional settings or rotation settings that may be able to correct your issue. Finally, if you are still unable to locate any feature of your display properties that enabled the monitor display to be rotated, we recommend you delete your display adapter in Device Manager and reboot the computer to allow windows to re-initialize your video card. Information about the Device Manager can be found here. If this does not resolve your issue, we recommend installing the latest video drivers on your computer.

BMW DesignworksUSA Creates a Unique Computer-Gaming Tower

HANNOVER, Germany — Thermaltake, the Taiwanese manufacturer of computer cases and cooling equipment, unveiled its "Level 10" PC case at the annual CeBIT computer exposition here. The Thermaltake Gaming Tower was designed by the Munich studio of BMW's DesignworksUSA. Instead of utilizing the normal strategy of throwing all the different computer parts into one bulky, rectangular case, BMW dreamt up this idea of using a separate protective case for each component. The design of the Thermaltake Gaming Tower makes the inside components visible to help with cooling and make it look more appealing to the user. An innovative feature of the concept is its smart locking system, which protects personal data by using a USB memory key that must be inserted to activate the system. Red LED lighting helps with aesthetics and also notifies the owner of the temperature and the amount of memory remaining. Hard-core gamers will be satisfied with the two integrated handles that allow for safe and easy transportation of the tower. Inside Line says: A cool design — literally — although there's no saying whether it will get past its current prototype form. — Mike Lysaght, Correspondent InsideLine
