  1. I feel gassy...if that helps.
  2. Why not just let her buy one then? I'm that way, where I like having my car for a long time...so I can relate to that desire The Vue would be great, and GM has a good warranty...if you're really concerned about warranty VS mileage you could consider a Chrysler product...hey...it's American at least
  3. But...t3h OVERHANGS!1!!11!1 There is a place for the Crown Vic, but when you need to chase down a suspect or get to the scene of a crime or accident or what have you, the Charger/Magnum are the way to go. Oh, and LOL @ the Crown Vic's piss-poor fuel economy. The LX has the same ratings with far more power.
  4. Truly it is a work of art, a masterpiece. It's gorgeous from every angle, and beautiful in a deadly "I could cut you in half" sort of way. I love it.
  5. Reminds me of an Infiniti from that angle. I'd have t say it looks alright from what I can see so far...but i have yet to see one in person. The coupe is definitely the looker of the two (no surprise) interior looks great...I'll have to see it in person. Do all dealers let you take photos?
  6. Yes but t has compariably poor performance, weak handling, cheap interior, and unrefined engine (and that's straight from edmunds, the guys who normally love Toyota products).
  7. Sounds classy.
  8. I hope they make them look better inside and out.
  9. Didn't cost me a dime Restoration kit is, as said before, a 60 or so page kit that tells you eveything you could want to know about your car, and lists GM parts and machine shops and so on...do you guyds read the posts before asking? If they were to send a letter of apology for building a car it would be for the J-bodies before the Prizm :AH-HA_wink:
  10. Not surprisingly, the 5.7L Magnum leaves the others in the dust.
  11. While the Quest deserves credit for thinking outside the box, I find the exterior to be discusting...the concept looked better. That being said, the MCEed interior, basing on the photographs, looks richer and more inviting than the T&C. I haven't sat in either, so it could be the materials, color choices and/or camera quality...but it looks more inviting.
  12. It's plain, unimaginative and the plastics may not be suitable for gliding my butt across them, but it's clean and restrained and if nothing else doesn't look cluttered. T&C looks far nicer inside, and I agree Dodge shouldn't cheap out on the trim and such you get on the upper models... LOL you think the Asstek looks better than the Nitro or even the Endeavor...sorry dude but that's just too funny
  13. Sexy.
  14. The only way I could see a "new" car I could see entering the household is if my mom decides to replace the Shadow,m which would then be handed down to my little brother. I have no idea what it'd be replaced with...I'd still like an Aurora to join the ranks...it it may be to expensive, and another Prizm might end up joining the fleet...or maybe a first gen LH model..who knows.
  15. That seems like a pretty pathetic ad campaign to me... "Why yes, every time I shop for a car the first thing I wonder is if I can get a rare toy out of the deal!"
  16. Now here's a good picture of the Malibu's interior:
  17. The first part is a matter of opinion, for which I disagree The second part I agree with.
  18. Oh Dude, when I tried to put my Sony CD player into the Prizm from the Shadow it was a nightmare because many of the colors don't match up and the wiring diagrams are useless. I managed to get it hooked up only because my friend with the Corolla has the same stereo...but the Pioneer stereo that came out of it to go in the Shadow still isn't cooked up right! best of luck, sorry I can't help.
  19. Ouch carbiz, that sucks, sorry to hear it. There are so many people who should not be allowed to drive it's not funny.
  20. I guess they had to come up with a new plan after Oprah told them the GXP was too ugly to be on her show...
  21. Like I said in the Malibu thread...It's all about perception.
  22. :rotflmao: @ the hubcaps BV, Do you have a bank account? If not you should consider finding a bank that does not require a minimum balance, get a debit card (no charge) and use that to start an ebay account with. That's what I did...I'd be in credit card debt up my nose if I had one...so I steer clear
  23. The restoration kit is very neat to have...since, like I said, it tells you everything you could possibly want to know about your car. It even has the the press release for that year on it. There's a lot of information on where to get parts, have things machined, rebuilt, and cleaned and so on. All I had to do to get one was call Chevrolet (the number for each division is listed on GM's website), spend about 2 hours with them (they had technical problems apparently, but at least they were very, very, polite) and request a restoration kit for the make, model, and year. I didn't actually request it, the offered, but I'm assuming they will send you one anyway. It didn't cost me a dime.
  24. Bomb attacks? I didn't even hear about it until now.
  25. Well this week the Prizm accident was finally settled for 1,494.66, including keeping the car. Not what I wanted but better than what they were going to give me. I found out that the original offer was not for $1,500 but for $1,015 - $100 to keep the car...so $915 I had wanted $2,425 but I just couldn't get that price from them. As it terns out, cruise control, which was optional only on LSi models was factory installed on this base model...I found the bad news out from the original owner. It looked like I'd be stuck with a base model offer of...well...$h! However I must extend a huge thank you to GM. I called them up several weeks ago asking how I could identify the trim level of the car. They were very polite, even though they took a while. In the end they weren't able to help me because there was a number missing from the spare tire cover that would have otherwise identified the trim level. So the woman I spoke to said she would have GM send out a complete restoration kit for the Prizm at no charge. This would include the options available for the car and anything else I could possibly want to know...including 30 pages of certified GM restoration and machine shops. A week later it came in the mail...it was like 60 pages of goodies. On the options sheet was confirmation that the cruise control was only available on the LSi. So I sent that (official GM paperwork) and a myriad of other paperwork to Liberty Mutual...and they gave me close to $600 more for the car than they were going to. they said they couldn't go any higher than that...so I accepted. $1,494.66 + $245 (reimbursement for the towing fees) + $200 (reimbursement from Enterprise) = $1,939.66 I despise Liberty Mutual at this point...it took them almost 2 months for this, and most of that time was waisted because the person handling my claim either wasn't at the desk, or wouldn't return my calls. Next step is to get the checks, then repair the Prizm and put it back on the road. Even though I didn't get as much as I wanted, I still get the last laugh because they spent over $900 for me to drive that rental. I got to drive a brand new car for what will be 2 months, I'll have leftover cash, and the Prizm will get a new paint job out of it.
