  1. I have a strong dislike for them- hard to clean / have no purpose. I don't find them to look nicer, either.
  2. Why is there a 'boot' around an automatic shifter??
  3. I was over in the Buick, Cadillac, & Pontiac rows, climbing into much older / longer-sitting cars, inhaling hantavirus and making 'vroom! vroom! noises behind 18" diameter steering wheels.
  4. When it cranked, I immediately turned the key off. It was almost too nice to have been in there, and it wasn't 'in a parking spot' in the row, but 'in the lane' - maybe it was someone's personal car. My name wouldn't be on it; 1. Chevrolet, 2. small block, 3. 1970s.
  5. How would you know? Dozens available online, BTW.
  6. I remember a suprisingly-clean 'Spirit' Impala coupe in the junkyard circa '90. Wasn't missing anything major, and when I saw the key in it after sliding inside, the motor cranked.
  7. 4. Mercedes doesn't build it. 3. Countach was never killed off, only the name badge was. Car has remained in production. 2/1. This is the Lamborghini of USVs (and it looks 40 years more modern than a 'mercedes Jeep') ~
  8. Oh; agreed. That part is banana nut bread crazy.
  9. Couple of nice Ford products; would make a good driveway duo!
  10. Stats from the early days ~
  11. ^ Stylistically, it's decades out-dated.
  12. Thanks for the correction. That's crazy... but I bet they find buyers just fine. Why buy an out-dated g-wagon when this may actually be far nicer.
  13. '66 Sport Fury ~
  14. Correct: 'burned out' = too common. I think a 'pro-touring' early 2nd gen Trans Am looks the best on the repro 17" Honeycombs.
  15. I was going to post the AR200S also- great rim design. They were available on the '71 Grand Prix SSJ package thru Hurst. Cragar SS is a classic, another good-looking wheel, but I burned out on them 25 years ago and they're 'dead' to me now. Radir & Rocket make a number of similar 5-spokes:
  16. FYI; there's a lot of similar designs from multiple companies on aftermarket 'mags'. Your blue convert above is wearing Astro Supremes- their spokes are straight. Torque Thrusts have curves spokes: I really like these for the '59, There's 3 or 4 variants of this on the market. American Racing calls them Salt Flat Specials:
  17. Same body tho, so same proportions. I think the pics from reg are just distorted. Speculation says the Grand Wagoneer has few options, so it's expected not to cross $100K. I believe the Escalade averages around $105K, and can go over $125K last I checked.
  18. WE have both highly qualified union and non union contractors that work for our university. And a few non qualified half wit contractors of both the union and non union variety Mine was not remotely a comment on the individual worker, but that of the machine therein that dictates such scenarios.
  19. “Due to cutbacks…” last week at one customer’s, there were 6 guys to pour half of a driveway apron; I did a whole one myself with 1 helper about 10 yrs ago. Also poured a floor patch inside a firehouse that was about 5’ x 20’ by myself… and I had to wheelbarrow all the concrete because the mixer could fit under the door opening. There’s union vs non-union in a nutshell.
