  1. I agree..The B pillar means nothing to me either. Black it out so its not visable and thats fine. I'd rather have a lighter more rigid chassis any day of the week. JMO
  2. 2005 Envoy lease is up 10/21 so we started shopping early for my wife.. AWD was the only thing she requested. Originally we were getting a buick enclave but came to realize its just too large for our family of three.. We tested the mercedes AWD C and E, the Bimmer 3 & 5, the Audi A4, the Audi TT, Volvo S80, Pontiac solstice GXP, ( threw that in there for fun) Linclon MKZ AWD sedan, and finally settled on the silver exterior/black interior 2008 CTS AWD 304hp sports suspension .. Ordered one on 9/6 and can't wait for it to come in to replace the Envoy. BTW...I Dig the new V8 362 hp 391 lb/ft of torque G8. I'd definitely try and order the 19's on that bad @ss ride. I saw it at the NY auto show last april and it was my personal favorite.. (no awd makes it a no go for my family ride..as the wife wants AWD.. ) but for those who don't mind just ordering up snow tires for the snowy winter weather if you have that where you live... I think its the best choice..

    2008 model info...

I just ordered one locally. 6 to 8 weeks till it comes in.. 304 hp motor AWD 18 inch sports suspension package and J55 brakes Automatic six speed Silver with black interior. BTW I personally did not care for the extra cost gray color.. It had a ton of blue in it. I can't wait till it comes in. Finally dumping the SUV and going with a nice luxury sports sedan. Should be a nice vehicle to cruise with the family.
  4. http://img260.imageshack.us/my.php?image=a...azda6005za6.jpg I think Mazda has done a great job! This cars a winner for sure. (I am a big fan of the new Malibu but this new Mazda 6 is smokin hot. Much better than the new camry or accord I hope to see the 6 succeed.
  5. I drove the 3.6 liter 258 hp awd version yesterday. I was really impressed. I'm a gearhead so I'm definitely getting the 300hp DI motor but the base motor was superior to the Audi A4, Mercedes new 350 sport, the Volvo S80. Linclon AWD Sedan I've driven lately. Forgetting even the performance or good exterior looks. I thought the interior was stunning. Not to be a pia and disagree but the trunk space I saw in the new CTS was HUGE! Congratulations on your new position. I can't tell from the photos..whats your opinion of the 18 inch rims both in polished and painted versions? JB
  6. I think the G8 is awesome! Great product. Hope it eventually becomes available with the new LS3 430hp motor. Sharp looking rwd four door and if I needed one. This would be the one I'd buy without a doubt.
  7. the commercials and the message they communicated got me to for the first time in my life go to a VW dealership and test drive the car and test out the new technology. Although I didn't buy one I did make the trip to see what all the fuss was about. Realize I'm not a target consumer of the GTI but I did go and look. I found a newfound respect for what VW was attempting to accomplish. As far as a hot hatch I was impressed. I would have bought one as a daily driver if I wanted or needed one. I thought it was more impressive than the mini cooper S I also test drove. Both great little cars with the looks going to the Cooper S and the technology going to VW. They done a good job now they just need a little more "cool" styling like the Mini Cooper S. JMO
  8. I thought the UNPIMP YOUR AUTO commercials were awesome. Even got me interested in the brand which I never thought of before so they must have done something right. The GTI is an awesome vehicle. All their vehicles should be built in the same vein. I see no reason to offer anything less.
  9. I like the quiet ride and smooth power delivery of the Buick Enclave. The only thing I don't need is the 7 seat capability. I would prefer a shorter vehicle length to meet my families needs for my wife truck. Not sure if I'm waiting though and might just pop for the Enclave this fall. What a beauty! Would be nice if there was a short wheelbase version though. Even if it only were a few grand less that would be fine. As far as the Equinox or Torrent. I can't get the wife to drive one. She just does not like the look especially the interior with the high narrow doors? I don't get it but she's insistant. The Saturn Vue is a no go too...Something awkward about its looks she says. On a personal note I've learned not to argue with the wifey when her mind is made up about a vehicle looks. Not worth the misery! LOL All kidding aside it would make sense to make a shorter wheelbase version of the platform and offer it for sale. Even if Cadillac had a short wheelbase version priced identical to the 7 seat buick that would be fine too. I just don't need 7 seats EVER. (almost) The third row leaves room for the In laws if you get my drift!
  10. Looks great. GM should do this just so we never have to hear that american cars have crappy interiors.. Personally I don't give a crap about the interior but just that I would never have to hear that complaint by the media or "foreign" car lovers would be money well spent. Smart move since many people rightly feel the interior is among the most important aspect of ownership... and it has its merits without a doubt... Make quality feeling interiors and those "foreign car" lovers might make the switch and add to the bottom line.. its cheaper than rebates too.
  11. Pontiac G8 GT Whens the information release scheduled? Feb 7th, 8th or 9th? Should be a hell of a car if its got over 400hp & A6 paddle shifter priced under 30? Rumor is its starting at 25.5 g
  12. I can't wait till they get a load of Pontiac's new 4 door rwd 400hp under 30 grand thats going to kick the accords @ss! JMO
  13. GM should market an inexpensive minivan based off the platform of the Acadia. Simply put a 3.9 liter ohv six and front wheel drive. Add a solid axle out back and run... Worst case scenerio make the dam thing in china and ship it over.... Pricing will slaughter the Koreans. Just sell it through GMC. JMO
  14. looking forward to the added photos today. TIA
  15. SRT is the best move DC has made in my opinion. If I were to ever buy another DC product it would be an SRT product. I dig the Viper SRT/10, 300C SRT/8 Charger SRT/8, Magnum SRT/8 and the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT/8 All big winners in my opinion. Best lineup of cars and trucks by any manufacturer.
  16. 2.5 sounds like a bit of a stretch but I enjoyed the thread. Thanks JB
  17. I dig that little SUV. Is GM really thinking of bringing this to the US market? Thanks for the photos... How much? When? TIA
  18. Very nice car when and if sales decline ..this would be a good vehicle to up the ante... I don't see it happening anytime soon though because GM can't meet demand as it is... JMO (and an awesome redition!) Thanks JB
  19. Now GM should take that basic chassis and motor...Add in some really wild sheetmetal aka Roadmaster or whatever and market that in the USA! Seems like a slam dunk move to me...(leave the greenhouse and hardpoints where they are and style up a wild ride.
  20. Cool! Thanks for the photo...
  21. You think all of GM competitors will finally let out a sigh of relief when the general goes completely out of business.... cause had GM just built its concept cars they would have been a runaway success.... GM's dumbed down production versions are such losers... WTF happened? The Aura was cool... How tough would it have been to just make the dam show car body style..? Edit: Id still chose the Aura over a camry, accord or Mazda 6 .. but it sure would have been cool had GM had the b@lls to build the concept true to form...
  22. I think the Pontiac G6 coupe done up in GXP is pretty surprising.. Great attention to exterior styling detail.. If they build it people will buy it. Thats the kind of styling that gets people to spend money... The 270 hp 3.9 is cool too.. Really surprised me how well the G6 updated with GXP styling cues looks! Hope they build it just as we see it.. Great companion to the Solstice GXP. IMO
  23. This car will be a huge win! The attention to exterior detail is perfect although the rear wing could use the side portions cut back a bit.. Otherwise it really corrects every error on the original bland G6 coupe.. If they made this in a retactable top I'd consider it as a family vehicle. 3.9 liter V6 sounds about right.. Maybe it has a dual clutch sequential shifter and thats why its only got two pedals... Wishful thinking...
  24. The Dodge Challenger is an awsome pony car remake. I look forward to both the 340hp and the 425hp versions hitting the streets in 07 or 08... 35 thousand units a year is about right... Keep em hungry's a good way to go...
