  1. I specifically lease my cars and I specifically choose GM vehicles because of the GM bonus points.. 1998, 2000, 2002, 2005 all years I've leased using the gm CREDIT CARD POINTS! Go for it. It doesn't matter to the dealer if you buy or lease..Bonus points are a go!

    Priced way too high....
  3. I really dig this new Dodge Nitro. Very cool truck that I believe will be a huge success. JMO JB
  4. I would hope GM replaces the A4 tranny with the Six speed automatic as quickly as possible throughout its lineup. Just doesn't make sense not to convert all A4's to A6's as production capacity of the transmission increases and GM can get it certified... I would imagine those are two of the larger stumbling blocks.. JMO
  5. The GXP’s high-performance Ecotec turbo engine is connected to a standard five-speed manual gearbox, or an optional five-speed automatic transmission. Either transmission can propel the car from zero-to 60 mph in under 5.5 seconds. As with other members of GXP family, the Solstice GXP provides a number of standard features not available on the base model, including: •Unique front and rear fascias •High polish, dual-outlet exhaust •StabiliTrak vehicle stability enhancement system •3.73 rear axle ratio •Interior refinements including unique GXP gauge cluster and Cobalt Red seat stitching The GXP also comes standard with a number of features available as options on the base model, including: •Sport suspension system •Four-wheel disc brakes with anti-lock •Limited-slip rear differential •Power window/locks/mirrors and remote keyless entry •Leather-wrapped steering wheel with accessory controls and cruise control •Driver information center •18-inch polished aluminum wheels Additional options include a rear deck spoiler, leather seating, sport metallic pedals, chrome wheels, enhanced audio options, including XM Satellite Radio, and OnStar. ------------------------------------------------ Glad to hear the spoilers are optional. I like the antilock system/rear differential, power windows/wireless remotes, stability system and the 5 speed manual and 5 speed automatic.... Sounds like I would add leather seating and be done... If you add up all the standard features.....and the turbocharge estimated 4 grand increase in price? where are we at? 29 grand? 30 with leather? Sound about right? too low? too high? Nice car...
  6. How did the solstice lose to a honda civic? Performance? Style? Price? Innovative production techniques? Motor trends car of the year is bull.
  7. Although I would never buy an Impala, I have seen them on the road and quite frankly they look like a nice vehicle. For the money they actually sell for ? Its probably a hell of a car. Winning fleet car of the year is not exactly an honor though.. Holly crap is more like it. Compared to a hemi powered 300C? or Dodge Charger Hemi? its hard to pick the Impala...(even biased towards GM products) Fords got the new Fusion and I like that better than the impala too...(although the sizing might be different) Camry/Accords don't enter into my preferences as I prefer american brands as do most fleet buyers here in the states...(thank goodness)
  8. The New Challenger if built just as the photos show is a big win! Puts everything else under 100 grand on the trailer. Great design. I'd buy one ...with the 425hp Hemi (with automatic though so the wifey could drive it)
  9. I believe GM did a fantastic job differeniating the Sky from the Solstice. Although I personally prefer the solstice's organic shape...the sky is a good looking vehicle as well. Not a big fan of the green but thats just a personal color choice. I am sure with tan interior it would be sharp as hell. Any word yet on if the sky will be released right off the bat with a turbo 250hp motor upgrade and an automatic tranny or DSG? Sure wish GM would offer DSG with the solstice/sky turbo..

    GMC Acadia?

it known that the Northstar V8 costs at least 1500 to 2000 more to produce than an LS2 V8. Personally I would prefer the less expensive motor for the new GMC. I am considering or hoping to replace my existing 2005 Envoy with this Arcadia model if its attractive. Depending on the weight of the new vehicle, I'd like the same power to weight ratio of my existing Envoy. Its more than enough. The 3.9 V6 would be an inexpensive and effective motor if the weight of the new Arcadia is not too much. An LS2 V8 with DOD might be an interesting option and much prefered over the Northstar which is both expensive, heavy and larger compared to the ls2.. I'd still probably buy a 3.9 V6 as long as it had the same power to weight ratio as my present Envoy. I won't be buying a third Envoy even though its been a great vehicle. I'm just tired of its good looks..I want something new and probably car/minivan based.
