  1. Just like Ford with their GT though, I'm sure GM will be brushed off and get no respect. In fact, they'll find something to criticize (Just like with the GT)
  2. If DOD only achieves 1 more MPG, then what's the point? The added weight and complexity/price sure isn't producing head turning fuel savings.... I guess a lot of it has to do with image as well though. GM needs to get the hybrids to market at LAUNCH!!!
  3. Once again, the deck is stacked in the choice of car to screw GM over. Let's test base cars, that'll make 'em look bad! Funny this is mentioned in the Cobalt write up when the 2nd place Civic has been this way for YEARS! So why did it rank poorly in this "Budget" comparison? Everyone is threatened by the Cobalt... Gotta rank it low, so the Toyonda buying sheep won't even notice it or check it out. The media will do anything to make GM look bad. Hell, that's evident here because they tested the crappiest model available and built the test to reflect it's 'horrid' demeanor. No Cobalt SS comparison, no Lacrosse CXL comparison, no GP GXP comparison.... They're even reduced to lieing now.
  4. I agree 100% Make it a coupe and cal it Z-something to line up with the super hot Z06 and upcoming (hopefully) Z28.
  5. Not 2 paragraphs in and Tierney's bias already blatantly shines through. She's such a terrible journalist.
  6. That's like the 20's for the GMT800 line... Sure the dealers are bolting them on, but I've only seen like 3 or 4 of the 10 or 20 (can't remember which) styles offered.
  7. Don't feel bad... I am/was a staff member and didn't get the first e-mail, hell, I still haven't.
  8. SWEET!!! You found that "General Lee" page too!!! GREAT story! Oh, and BTW, I'm still TheFOG (Seriously, with a golden reputation like this why would I want to change my name) ;)
  9. For reference: The Alero Alpha.
  10. I miss 98 a lot. In fact, when he sent the PM to the moderators about leaving (And make no mistake, he is gone for good) I replied with a sincere thank you to his e-mail. This site wouldn't have enjoyed nearly the success it has without Landis' tireless contributions. I still remember in 2001 when I found him at GM Forums, along with Scott and Croc, and invited him to the site, he was such a joy to post with. Actually it kinda pissed me off that certain members of the administrative team brushed off his leaving like it was nothing. In my opinion it was a sad day for Cheer and Gears. That WAS one of the main appeals of C&G. People come to one site to see ALL types of news from everywhere. I know I enjoyed it and I'm sure others read the posts even if they didn't comment. P.S. No Need for confidentiality now from me, since I've apparently been kicked off the administrative team.
  11. 1 ANSWER. 1959. Beautiful car.
  12. I loved the Profile... Either it or the Alero Alpha probably qualifies as my favorite Olds concept.
  13. I'm guessing the next Astra/Ion.
