    Sunday Dinner

Turkey burgers stuffed with peppers? That sounds good too. There has to be at least one girl in Philadelphia! ;-)
  2. I didn't notice it in the first picture, but WHOA, why is there an airplane bolted to the roof???
  3. Hmm... I was thinkin' a considerably darker shade of that exterior colour... it would keep the rainbow effect to a minimum. White, light green/dark green.
  4. More like bunkers, less like fun. Case in point, and three excellent examples: the modern pony cars. Park them each next to their inspirators, all small, low beltline, potentially nimble scrappers, compared to now... middle age spread indeed.
  5. Aww... come on. It's sad that these big cruisers have to surrender their hearts and die for no other reason than some punk kid blew up his Trans Am.
  6. They tried to tie it all together with the tan pinstripe... to no avail, sadly.
  7. I was hungry so I cooked myself a decent Sunday Dinner: Glazed ham slice Leftover ham from Easter. I put a slice of it in a pan with a little water, honey, ground ginger and a dash of ground cloves. Cooked it down on medium high heat until the liquid was syrupy. Stuck it on a plate and poured the glaze over top. Baked Mac-N-Cheese Cooked some macaroni and set it aside. Mixed Velveeta, cream cheese, shredded sharp cheddar and milk with pimentos, paprika, cayenne pepper, a dash of garlic powder and a little flour to bind it together. Heated it until melted, poured it over the mac, topped it with bread crumbs mixed with melted butter and baked it. Steamed Asparagus Tips Grocery store had fresh tips on sale, so I steamed them, then tossed them with a bit of olive earl and garlic salt. Turned out really tasty-like. Is anyone else having Sunday Dinner?
  8. Yeah, not quite cabover... more like a van cutaway.
  9. Honda needs to cover their asscheeks too. Their missteps as of late will shirley cost them.
  10. Frontier, like Tacoma, is in that difficult spot where it's too big and thirsty for a compact... I believe Nissan and Toyota should discontinue their full-size trucks and the SUVs that are based on them. It's time for another compact truck revolution.
  11. I guess a compact, cabover pickup truck would be viewed as an oddity in these United States, but I fell in instant lurve with that Suzuki cabover pickup concept from a few yerrs ago.
  12. Does it have a basket and a bell?
  13. Speaking of trucks, don't Koreans use pickup trucks? I wonder what kind of compact, straightforward pickup truck Hyundai/Kia could come up with. I wonder if they sell them KDM...
  14. Seven miles is just insane! Nice car.
  15. I've been seeing more and more of these little fellas around these here parts. So far this weekend, I've seen a light green base model, and a pearl white Sport.
  16. Veloster in black. Best color I've seen on this car. The wild colors are just too trendy. Driven by a guy who looked around my age.
  17. Miss
  18. The Delta I vehicles are a great engine and transmission in search of a decent home. I always liked the looks of the HHR, and almost bought one on a few occasions. Now I'm happy I dodged that bullet. I liked my Cobalt, but then again I only had it 18 months. It is absolutely imperative that the Delta II cars hold up better than their forebears.
  19. Not a fan of the paint job, but the rest of the car is a treat.
  20. A bonne lass from days gone by.
  21. Time capsule. Very clean interior, judging from the pictographs. Cheers.
  22. 2011 HHR I'm using as a company car is a total rattle trap at 31k miles. It has the Delta rattle in the steering column. When braking, it makes the same noise my Cobalt made when it had another broken wheel stud (a problem I attributed to the aftermarket rims I had on the Cobalt, but alas...), and when cold, the shifter is horribly stiff and creaky (I'm thinking maybe somebody spilled a sugary drink into the shifter at some point, but then again, when the interior is hot from sitting in the sun, it works smoothly and quietly like it should, so it's more likely just a junky mechanism). Plus, the whole car is a cacophony of looseness and rattles. This after first coming out of a 2011 Impala that was quiet and smooth, but had the W-body clunk in the steering. After the Impala I had a 2010 Sentra and a 2011 Versa... both of which happened to feel more refined and better put together than this HHR. Shame.
  23. "Does your dog bite?" Sweet old girl.
