Japanese cars have always been the worst with rust. It was truly pathetic in the 70s and little better in the 80s. The Tacoma debacle is the most glaring example though. It still amazes me that my two 31 year-old Chevys barely have any rust.

Now I just need to know where they will be shooting tomorrow... it's a short drive away.

I just freaked out a C6 'Vette owner. My G8 is parked out in the parking lot in front of my hotel...right in front of my room. I heard his car rumble in and wondered why it stopped right out front. I looked out and he's got his hands cupped looking inside. I couldn't resist hitting the remote start button. Should've seen him jump back and start looking around expecting me to come out of somewhere. Hit the remote start button again and it shuts back off. He looks around again then squats down to look at the front of the car(must like dead bugs or something). I hit the remote start button again. He got pissed, hopped in his 'Vette and burned rubber out of the parking lot. Yeah, I'm easily amused when I've had a couple beers in a hotel room. I would've gone out to talk to him but I'm in my comfy clothes and kicked back for the evening.

I think that they were highly -rated at the time. However, the inability to meet new side-impact standards was one of the reasons that they were cancelled after 2002.
