  1. We're just west of Indianapolis...
  2. I haven't heard anything on a coupe in quite some time but that would be nice...as far as the portholes are concerned you can have them added for around 200 bucks..
  3. The ones they had in the Indianapolis area with the exception of two or three of them had normal Michigan plates and none of them had any "nao" decals. I just learned our first one in transit (Sharkskin CXL) got yanked out of transit and returned to the plant for quality inspection
  4. I agree with Josh 100%...on the otherhand this transition time is really tough on stand-alone Buick dealers, they really need to put Pontiac or GMC (or both B) ) in these stores I'm really begining to think that stand alone Buick or Pontiac dealers will become extinct..
  5. I'd have to say yes to that one if you get a CXS...
  6. The first thing that really surprised me is the cabin room in the front and the rear. I'm right at 6 feet tall and the front and rear leg room was both comfortable, my knees weren't in the back seat with the front seat fully retracted for once :) Both front and rear seats we're padded well and very comfortable...especially for a back seat. I'm not much of a cloth fan but the cloth they used is very nice on the car. As far as the powerplant is concerned I feel like the 3800 is a little underpowered for the car but I have no complaints about the northstar motor. The HK sound system to me is one of the best we've had in a long time and all of the radio and climate control buttons are easy to use. The perforated leather was comfortable and breathed well and the heated/air conditioned seats are well worth getting. The trunk space in it is great as well they had a demo of fitting 3 suitcases 3 golf bags and a cooler into a lucernce vs. the ES 330 and what fit well in the Lucerne's trunk they couldn't get to fit in the Lexus. I will say that the CXS does ride a little hard by some of our customer's standards but you're getting a lot of performance in return the cornering characteristics with the magnetic ride control makes it a lot of fun to drive. They did a real good job of hiding the park assist on the bumpers you can barely notice them now. My biggest complaint with the car is the 16" wheels on the CX just didn't look right to me...And I will say check out the Tuxedo blue/Shale interior...It looked goood on that car with ming blue. Overall I'm in love with this car I just hope they keep it up at this pace...
  7. The ones that everyone's seeing are probably the pre production prototypes they've been using for the ride and drive....I know they've started shipping them in the last day or so but as far as I know none of the dealers have one
  8. The response I've gotten is they don't want to spend the money on a production model...But I haven't heard yet that it's gotten the offical axe...
  9. Well I wish I knew the exact answer to that but the way they were talking at the dealer confrence in Vegas a couple weeks ago I'm not too confident...I really wish they'd build it because it's a great looking car and it's attracted a lot of interest
  10. Believe me we're pushing for anything we can get...
  11. At the ride and drive I went to today they had decibel meters in both cars...The Lucerne was about a decibel quieter than the Lexus and I couldn't tell the difference....But don't worry the car's got a big edge over it's competitor after driving both...
  12. Today I drove a lucerne CX and CXS in a comparason test to the Lexus ES 330 (I think) The CXS is nothing short of impressive...both the rear and front were very roomy and the car handled awesome on the course they had set out....I'm really looking forward to this now... B) B)
  13. I hate to burst your bubble but it did have the same headlamps...
  14. Yeah they were discussing building that one about a year ago but it didn't get the final go ahead....
  15. Actually I left that out it did have a velite grill on it....but the interior looked just like a CXS...
  16. In Vegas this week Buick had a LaCrosse "Super" that is slated to be built for 2007. The one they had there was sharkskin and it included a V8, 20"wheels and portholes....Sorry guys I would have loved to have taken some pictures but it's never allowed...Can't wait to see how they sell...
  17. I'm at the store in Plainfield. I don't know if we could ever get Pontiac with Dugan being so close but I can't remember the last time I saw on the reports Pence reporting more than 10 new trucks sold for a month. In the area it's in believe me it's not filling it potential....
  18. I don't see Buick getting wiped but I do see in the future is no more stand-alone Buick dealers. I don't know how that will get handled but I'm hoping since our store just built a 3 million dollar facility for Buick only they'd get the extra lines to us..... B) :CG_all:
  19. I'm going...I'll be sure to give out the as much of a scoop as I can B)
  20. I don't always trust the press when it comes to these kinds of things...they also said Buick was on the outs like Olds...which isn't true. The article said it's fuel ecomony, emissions, and reliabilty are world class, who gives a crap about the technology if it does the job. In my opinion they need to keep the engine longer because there's too many old Buick customers that wont buy another engine.
  21. We've got 5 in the pipeline and we were told they will be on the ground late October/Early November
  22. I'm driving a 2006 CXL and the shifter on it's wood and I know we have a CXS that's wood.
  23. The only cosmetic changes they made is they changed the speedometer to 140 (no idea why) put the GM badge on the fender and got rid of that ugly onstar antenna and moved it to the rear of the roof. I also noticed a couple of CXL's we've had has leather shift knobs instead of the wood.
  24. I agree it needs more power but I have too many customers that want that size a car with a 3800. Old people just don't like change and if they trust something they stay loyal to it. That's the only reason I see them putting the 3800 in it.
  25. I've got two Lucernes sold as soon as I can order them. So far my response from customers has been pretty exciting. :D
