  1. William yes, Cory no. I want to plan our courses on Sunday. I hope to be there by 2.
  2. Of course I'll be there, the PR peeps just try to limit media kits to one per person. When are your flights?
  3. Of the guys going, can one of you try and snag me an extra Ford usb media kit or two? I need to send them as gifts.
  4. My impression was that weight balance favoring the rear was a good thing.
  5. It was registered back in July. I'm not sure it means much.

  7. Continuing its role as the come-back king, the Ford brand has surpassed 2 million vehicle sales for 2011, a first for the brand since 2007, making it the best selling automotive brand name in the US. The increase isn't attributable to just one vehicle segment; Ford has increased sales across their entire lineup. Small car sales are up over 20% this year. The Ford Escape has taken the title of America's best selling utility vehicle. The already best selling truck, the Ford F-150, bolstered by its new V6 and V8 engine lineup, has increased sales nearly 10%. Press Release is on page 2 Ford Brand Sales Top 2 Million for 1st Time Since 2007 DEARBORN, Mich., Dec. 30, 2011 – U.S. sales of the Ford brand this week topped 2 million vehicles for the first time since 2007. The milestone makes Ford the best selling brand in America and the first automotive brand to hit the 2 million mark since 2007. “Ford’s lineup of high-quality, fuel-efficient cars, utilities and trucks continues to attract more and more new customers,” said Erich Merkle, Ford’s sales analysis manager. “With gasoline prices tracking higher than last year, customers continue to move toward smaller, more fuel-efficient vehicles, whether they are passenger cars or utilities.” Both the Ford Fiesta and Ford Focus achieve 40 mpg highway, while the Ford Explorer brings a class leading 28 mpg highway with its new EcoBoost engine. Ford’s smallest utility, the fuel-efficient Escape, has achieved record sales volumes this year and is America’s best selling utility vehicle. Overall, Ford brand small cars are on pace to post an increase of more than 20 percent this year. Ford brand utilities are tracking to post more than a 30 percent gain. Most Ford products deliver best-in-class fuel economy and provide customers with the opportunity to choose what best works for them – from EcoBoost-powered gasoline vehicles to hybrids, plug-in hybrids and electrified vehicles. In fact, with the company’s new electrified vehicle introductions, nearly one-third of Ford’s vehicle lines in the U.S. will feature a model with 40 mpg or more in 2012 – a claim no other full-line automaker can match. 9. Found this on another forum I frequent, it's so gruesome it's funny The name of the pamphlet is "It's GREAT to be ALIVE!"
  10. The Windstar is quickly turning into that drunk night years ago that Ford wishes it never had. Wasn't it about this time last year when the entire rear axle was recalled for rusting off?
  11. They're in a catch-22 now. Their economy depends on ours. Their financial health depends on ours.
  12. A lot of GM's cars have that now. I think even the now-just-ending Malibu has the bowtie in the same location.
  13. This car isn't targeted to anyone at all on C&G. It is the exact antithesis of what we like here. That said, I think it is perfectly positioned for the market it IS targeting.... and having just spent a week in a new Sonic LTZ Turbo, I have no doubts as to what they'll be able to do with this car to make it a premium vehicle. yes
  14. As do I. But I also prefer Oldsmobiles over Pontiacs.
  15. Ha, no they didn't. Good thing you didn't take them out in a CTS-V Coupe.....
  16. Not at all. If you owe the bank $1,000, that's your problem. If you owe the bank $1.1483 trillion*.... that's the bank's problem. *as of November 2011.
  17. uhm... nice.. but talk to me about the Olds in the back.
  18. Haven't we seen this one for sale before?
  19. I think it is a bit early for anyone to have bought anything, more investigation is needed.
  20. so... slower than a CTS-V by a full second.
  21. Z4 doesn't have a 4cyl well... actually....
  22. I'm not certain it is worthy of anything more than a press release and a "come see it at the show"
