SRX holds up extremely well in it's target market, wealthy soccer moms. They are the ones that get to make the decisions. The only GM needs to do is sort out the powertrains.

Who needs to be worried? The low end of the TSX segment big time. The Verano interior makes the TSX feel stark and sterile. If you're not concerned with lap time, the Verano looks to be a nicer place to spend your time. Much warmer inside than a Volvo S40 and without the oddball 5-cylinder turbo. Anyone who buys a Civic EX-L Touring whatever..... they'll finally be able to hear whoever is talking to them in the passenger seat and have the nice amenities. Possibly Chrysler 200 if they aren't concerned much with back seat room.

Thanks for the compliment! We appreciate the feedback. On the trip back from Deroit, we'll reset the average speed counter as well. We do have one hypothesis that we may have caused the fuel economy drop on our own. On the trip up, both cigarette lighters had chargers plugged in AND one of the chargers was a 90 watt power supply for my laptop. That, combined with the very cold weather and the low miles on the car may have all conspired to lower the mileage on us. So we'll find out on the way back. If you're only averaging 38 mph, only Hybrids are going to get good mileage at those speeds.
