It was when those pictures were taken. I got the car in February 2004.

Olds:
I just love your CTS, however why te animosity against the 3800? I love the old 3.8 and wish it stuck around for another 30 years. I will say that the 3800 Luscerne is WAY overpriced!
[post="3411"]<{POST_SNAPBACK}>[/post]
I have no animosity towards the 3800. I actually think it's a great engine.
On that note, the base, naturally-aspirated, downrated 3800 should NOT have been the base engine for the brand new, most premium, Buick available. I mean really, couldn't they have at least stuck the new 3.9 in there?
The 3.6vvt should have been base, 3.9 if that doesn't work.
Leave the 3800 for the Impalas <I might at that the new impala gets the 3.9> and maybe mini-vans. -
A friend of mine used to work for a chrysler dealer... which is funny to me mostly cause he's a big buick head.... anyway.. he'd drive around on cool days with the front and rear windows down on a sebring convert and call it a "faux hardtop" he's more of a dork then me....

What a pile of crap. Why don't you get a nice car, like this?
:P

Because I know better. My parent's had a 1986 Dodge Colt Vista:

Can you tell me what the car is like to drive, I have never had the chance to drive one.. but with the job I have now it is becomming reality to get one!

It's a blast. It will get you into trouble very quickly even without the V8. I've had it to 120mph and it feels completely stable. The tires that come stock with it are crap. I burnt them off in less then a year. 300 treadware I think.
Budget snow tires for yourself if you're in a northern climate. The stabilatrack and snow mode will do everything in their power to keep you on the road, but in the end it comes down to good old fashioned grip. I recommend the Dunlop Winter Sports. I had great performance with them last winter.
unfortunately, I don't get too many opertunities to throw the car around as I live and work in the city. Sometimes I drive down into West Virginia just to let the car loose.
My only real gripe with the car is that it doesn't like to be driven conservatively. If you're driving like your grandpa, the transmission shifts too early and lugs the engine. If your drive it like you stole it, the car plays along.
sorry if I've rambled a bit, 4 glasses of wine will do that to a lightweight like me. -

Trivia for August 24th 2005
6. Which is faster a 1987 Regal T-Type or a Grand National. WHY?
[post="2887"]<{POST_SNAPBACK}>[/post]
Wondering if this is a trick question or not. In 1987 the name was changed to Regal Turbo T, so technically, there was no T-type. The drivetrain was the same as the GN, so I presume they would perform the same.... the GN just looks better while doing it. I'm not entirely sure, but I think you could get older years of the T-type without the turbo engine. I don't know if they did that for 87 or not. Naturally a T-type without the turbo would be slower.
87 was the year for the 300hp GNX. -
7. This special edition luxury yacht is little known and very unique. They made 100 of them but technically only 99 production cars were sold since one was lost to the cold waters of the Atlantic ocean. Or so the legend goes. To the causal observer the tail lights on this car were one year ahead of their time.

I'm not even an insider and I sense that everything but the blue devil thing is BS. A Roadmaster on a vette platform? uh... right.

I see nothing compelling at Renault, Citroen, or Peuguot. The only thing at Lancia that looks interesting is the Thesis. Fiat? Who wants something that looks like an early 90s Japanese sedan, Passat re-make or a copy cat of an Opel. Alfa has some hot stuff going on. I could totally see myself in a 159 or a Spider.

I have both RWD <CTS>, and FWD <Passat>. Generally, I like the RWD better, but I don't find the FWD bad at all. There is a tiny amount of front wheel wobble under hard acceleration in the Passat. I put snow tires on both cars and they seem to handle equally as well in the snow. Admittedly, the CTS has all sorts of electronic wizardry to keep me on the road, snow mode, stabillatrack, etc.
