  1. I think our host hasn't fully recovered from the lightning strike earlier this week. I've seen them reboot the entire server at least twice now. We've started getting weird error messages in the server logs. I know one of the reboots was to fix an Apache <webservice> error and the error messages in the logs started after that. I'm keeping an eye on it, but I don't think it's anything to do with our database or website.
  2. Go back and look at an '04 CTS. It's just a softening of that. If you're talking about the flat surface just around the wheel wells, BMW cribbed that from the '66 Toronado
  3. Oh yeah, and it'd be the first car of mine to ever do 30mpg or better on the highway..... granted highway is 45mph.... but still!
  4. Camino, I may need your help with this one. It's out your way anyway.
  5. Where are you seeing 3-series again? I also think you should wait for better pictures before barfing. This is what, the 2nd or 3rd time you've barfed in a post today? Any more of that and I'm sending you to the hospital for bulimia.
  6. I haven't left yet.... but I was only planning on going for 2 -3 years anyway
  7. I've never been a big fan of the Camaro, but damn that's hot!
  8. Man... I wish all those Subaru, Volkswagen, Volvo, and Saab owners would finally clear their broken down cars off the side of the highways...... These are cars that run with turbos every single day. They individually may have issues, but has anyone heard of even anecdotal evidence of wide spread turbo issues on these cars? We're not talking '83 Lebaron or Mustang SVOs here.
  9. SCHWING!!!! I can't wait to tour around Europe in one of those!
  10. My grandfather's Model A, disassembled Camino style. I'm not sure of the year, and I only vaguely remember it. I know it basically looks like this one, but with a red body.
  11. The Aurora was originally slated to be a Cadillac. But his argument will somehow involve DOHC.

    Whoa...

Maybe Bluehost is using distributed computing and was storing part of C&G on Blu's computer..... that would explain a great many things.
  13. no problems with the car I figure if I need to buy something, I want to buy an economical engine.... 4-cylinder is the way to go. It'll never go over 50 anyway.
  14. You mean like outsource the marketing department to Apple. ---------- Dude 1: Hello, I'm A Malibu.. Dude 2: And I'm a Camry. Dude 1: Camry, what are you eating over there? Dude 2: Mayo on white.... why? Dude 1: I dunno, just looks a bit.... bland. Why don't you put some cheese or lettuce or tom... Dude 2 interupting: Woah woah woah!.... Don't go getting all wild on me....mayo on white will be just fine....I've eaten it for years <smugly> Dude 1: I just thought you might like something with a bit more flavor, maybe some variety. Dude 2: Ah, that's tomorrow's lunch. Mayo on wheat! Zoom out, show logo, closeup of Dude 2 taking a big bite of Mayo on white and saying "Mmmmm hmmmmm"
  15. I bet there is a whole host of buyers that don't care about Onstar, XM, or 6-Speed automatics as long as it starts every day and gets them down the highway at better than 30mpg.
  16. I'm looking for a possible replacement for the Roadmaster. If you recall, it isn't actually mine. I go on ebay and place check marks for "Wagon" "Manual transmission" "4cylinder" "5cylinder" (gotta remember the volvos.... The most interesting entries are: Ford Escort L Wagon Diesel Ford Pinto Wagon complete with porthole window in back 1971 Datsun 510 Wagon Dodge Omni GLSH Clone with a Shelby engine from a Daytona Oh sure there's a bunch of Subarus, Saabs, and Volvos.... but I need to drive a car that really makes a statement... you know... like a quad color 1996 Roadmaster Wagon does....
  17. With a BAS, 6-speed and $5.00 a gallon gas, people may learn to like it.
  18. '88-'91 Chrysler New Yorker with 3 MASSIVE Escalade portals on each side... applied crookedly.
  19. a Prius probably couldn't make it up your driveway....
  20. Why can't I kwit ewe!?!
  21. you don't know how many arguments I've gotten into on other boards with people saying that the 4 door Tundra is a true competitor for the Avalanche. They're better off claiming it isn't. You simply cannot beat the Avalanche for overall utility.
  22. Or... to phrase it another way... Cobalt proves there is a market for a cheap basic car at $12,000. Which is why it'll hang around for a few years after the Cruze is introed.
  23. 6 billion in revenues now how much did it cost them to make it? build the plant? make fake ads? recall it?
  24. they're on track to sell less than 150,000 this year.
