  2. The Grand Prix went out of production. But I could see a large number of those lost Impala sales going to the Malibu.
  3. I'm not talking about an actual load, just the light stuff that people would otherwise cram into the trunk of their Malibu. Plenty of FWD wagons have lived through having their cargo areas loaded up on occasion. A Baja or Rampage-like pickup wouldn't be good for my local Public Works department, but it would be fantastic for the Parks Department, which currently uses a Ram to fetch fishing poles and basketballs.
  4. Speaking of Neons, there is a 1st gen 4-door for sale up the street for $500. I'm thinking about checking out, because they're pretty fun. Cramped and uncomfortable and rough, but fun. Plus, it would let me take the wagon off the road and work on the engine swap over time.
  5. Actually, for the Home Depot set, a small, FWD/AWD pickup (think Baja without the rediculous pricetag) makes sense. Enough room in the bed for their plants or a small load of lumber the 10 times a year they actually need it, then a reasonably sized, reasonably fuel efficient trucklet the other 355 days a year.
  6. Product overlap is the issue. If it takes sales away from the Ram, why bother? The Ram is the one product they have that has proven capable of sustaining a level of success. Something Dakota sized or smaller makes more sense from a product standpoint.
  7. There are people in Deadwood, SD?
  8. I really, really dont care for apartment hunting in 4 cities in 3 states in 2 timezones.
  9. I have a feeling that if Chrysler goes through with this, it will be more along the lines of the original Dodge Rampage than along the lines of the El Camino or even the Rampage concept from a few years ago. Something based off the LY would still be pretty big, close enough in size to the Ram to make them hesitate. Something based off whatever that crap platform is under the Sebring or even the Caliber/Patriot would bring in truck buyers who dont want or need something that large.
  10. Wow, thats almost what my house runs per month.
  11. Camino, you'd actually buy a Caliber with a bed?
  12. Our little sNOSage is getting all growed up. You going to celebrate your 21st by having gender reassignment surgery then entering the Miss Michigan pageant? Cause thats what I'd do if I were you.
  13. You dont want another Series III 3800 powered Camaro?
  14. My mom had a brick phone that she refused to give up for the longest time. When my dad was working asa charter bus driver, his boss had a bag phone that usually stayed in one of the buses. I was in awe of it the first time I saw it (keep in mine I was like 10) because it was so freaking cool. It looked like a regular old bag, but when you opened it up, BAM! it was a phone. And it weighed a ton. Camino, if you still have that bag phone, it may be worth a few bucks.
  15. Sounds like a good time. I've gotten into my car with the intention of getting gas down the street and ended up in Arkansas.
  16. The Mini is selling well now? Our sales figure archives have some holes, but: From Nov. 2006 YTD 2006 36,699 YTD 2005 38,384 From Nov. 2007 YTD 2007 38,483 From Nov. 2008 (For the sake of continuity) YTD 2008 50,511* *11,311 of those were the Clubman, which came out this year
  17. I'd love to see someone make a retro cell phone. I want to be able to pull my sim card out of my Blackjack and put it into a modern Motorola brick phone. Just for nostalgia sake, I'd also like to see Nokia re-introduce the 5165, those were fantastic. Green screens and button lights, those awesome faceplates that could be switched quickly and cheaply, they were just awesome! Holy crap! My prayers = answered
  18. Maybe Avis can upcharge for a G3. Since people on C&G think Pontiacs are worth more, maybe car rental customers think the same way, and will pay $16.99/day for a G3 instead of $14.99/day for an Aveo.
  19. Avis will.
  20. I'll go a different route. Lets go back a couple years, now lets say GM decides to import the BLS as the CTS replacement, calls it CTS and holds the price. How would you have responded?
  21. I'd be thrilled if my neighbors went on tour, maybe a prison tour.
