    A Math Problem

    1
  2. Speaking of boneheaded designs..... :P Just kidding, the only thing about the looks of the Fiero I dislike are the pop-up headlights. I hate those. They're dumb. On any car. I had some chick on a street corner offer me a "Rim-Blow DeLuxe" for $10 the other night. If I had known she was talking about a'69 Mustang I probably wouldn't have driven off.
  3. Brainwashing+sodomy=AWESOME!
  4. Yeah, having that Metro as a tugboat really helps. :P :P Nobody has really mentioned interior designs, one of the biggest annoyances I've ever had was my '87 Dakota that had a pull-out cupholder (strike one) in front of the passenger (strike two) that wouldn't hold a 20 oz. bottle. Strike three, you suck. Any car with a single exhaust, but the bumper is cut for dual exhaust tips bugs the hell out of me.
  5. I find it disturbing that GM is going to show a Camaro concept at NAIAS in order to distract everyone from their dire financial situation.
  6. I want further demographic studies done, like average income, education level, etc. Like Croc said, being redneck has little to do with geography.
  7. NASCAR sucks
  8. For the longest time the #1 SUV was the Explorer, not sure what it is now, but I'm pretty sure its a GM. But the official numbers come from vehicles registered, and vehicles are registered as either cars or trucks, no SUVs, so SUV sales get lumped in with trucks.
  9. Well, if you go by retail sales...... I actually think part of the problem is that GM doesn't have the #1 seller in either major category (SUVs count as trucks) so people see #1 selling car-Toyota Camry and #1 selling truck Ford F-Series they just kind of translate that as Toyota sells more cars total than everyone else, Ford sells more trucks, since cars are more popular than trucks, Toyota is the #1 car company by volume. I never said people are smart.
  10. Sucks about a diesel version, I think t would sell pretty well.
  11. CSI=good stuff, although I only watch it once in a great while. If I'm home, I'll turn on one of the reruns on Spike, I haven't seen any of the new season. As for the other crap that this thread was originally about, if I wanted to spend time with whiny rich kids/drama queens, I'd just go round up a bunch of the people I went to high school with. It was stupid, petty annoying crap then, having it on tv doesn't make it any different.
  12. Because they're losers.
  13. Pretty sure its an F-250 :P
  14. The recent Audi concept whose name I cant remember had reinvigorated my love of shooting brake/2-door wagon/hatchback thingys. Since we dont have a Nomad or extended wheelbase Mini(yet) I'd have to go with coupe followed by wagon. New or used, you know, whatever.
  15. You're going to beat someone up for a digital camera? That doesn't seem very nice. At least you'll be using boxing gloves.
  16. That appears to be a Silverado, not a Sierra. You can see the taillight sitting on the bumper and its red, the post-facelift "angry" Silverado is the only GMT-800 pickup with all-red taillights, all Sierras and pre-facelift Silverado have red/amber/white taillights.
  17. Honestly dude, I laughed my ass off.
  18. Include me int he group that LOVES the last gen. I've seen one with the aftermarket chop job (vert) and it was beautiful, it almost seemed like the car was meant to be a convertible. Bitch about FWD, relatively compact dimensions inside and out all you want, but that is a design that will truly stand the test of time. Oh, and it has 300hp from the damn near perfect Northstar engine. Cant go wrong with that.
  19. Last year I gave some friends of mine a crack pipe for Christmas. Neither of them are what you would call a crack head. The husband has never so much as drank alcohol, his wife was a bit of a pothead when I first met her (I've known her longer than him) but she doesn't do it now. Its in a box somewhere now, I thought they should have put it on the tree as an ornament.
  20. Thanks for your view on this. Now I cant wait for everyone to come say that you are blind to your own bias, blah blah blah. You brought up Miata vs. Solstice, I haven't driven either, I probably wont for my cheap roadster money I'd get in into a Z3, but I do have an opinion based on looks, since I have now seen a Solstice in person. Its girly, everything about the appearence says, "Look at me, I'm a sorority girl." The Solstice would almost work better as a Satrun and the Sky as a Pontiac.
  21. I used to rag on the Camry like evryone else, then I test drove (and ended up buying) one that had almost 90,000 miles on it and was more solid feeling than any new GM product I had ever driven. I think the best way to show people what you are talking about is to let them ride in equivalent brand new and equivalent five year old, hundred thousand mile models.
  22. *For NOS and BV's sake, we'll pretent Santa exists, they dont know any better* Its like a week and a half before Christmas, so people are finally getting around to Christmas shopping (at least my family anyways) and they're asking me what I want. And I dont have a frekaing clue. I'd kind of like to get my windows tinted and have keyless entry installed on my car, other than that my life is set and fully occupied. I dont really have the time to mess with things like an XBOX. Maybe I'll just end up getting $$$$.

    Car Spotting

I saw a yellow Seat (pretty sure it was a Leon) pulling out of Pep Boys earlier. It had Mexico plates.
  24. I had that exact same thought.
