  1. He may be spinning in his grave. You can't just kill the Viper, I believe it has a loyal following just like the Vette. The Viper should live. I'm pretty sure if they got it INTO production, and it were to be killed (I'd hope not), there'd be many more letters to get it BACK into production. And remember Vette fans, without the Viper the Vette wouldn't be where it is today.
  2. Wow ya'll are cruel. Killing off Dodge??!!? When I first read the headline, my heart sank. If GM does buy Chrysler what exactly does that mean for Chrysler? Could it mean better interiors for Chrysler? And what would happen to the Viper? Can GM have two 600 hp vehicles under the same roof? But this would mean a larger presence in NA for GM and overseas. If I were GM and I bought Chrysler, I would significantly upgrade Chrysler's interiors, fast track the redesign of the Sebring/Avenger, kill the Compass, Aspen and keep Jeep intact. Dealers would still be separate and the GM badge wouldn't appear on any Chrysler products. It would be more like a merger I guess. But I cannot imagine seeing the GM badge on any Chrysler vehicles. Love both companies but they need to stay separate. PS: It's times like these where I wish I could buy the Chrysler Group...
  3. Odd little car. Im sure the design will grow on me though. I love the headlights and the interior. The grille is odd for the car, thought it does give it an ineffably aggressive appearance, and the rear hips could be excuted with more precision. It looks like a mini Viper which is rather good. But why does it receive the front hinge hood treatment but not the Viper? Maybe Chrysler will give the Viper back its front hinged hood...
  4. ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!! It's very athletic, taunt, and bold. For some reason it reminds me of the new Altima... Now all GM has to do is expand this design to other Pontiacs. I guess this could be an alternative to the Charger maybe?? I don't know, I'd take both if I had the money. Great job GM and keep'em coming. Now only if Chrysler could produce something this beautiful.
  5. Wait...so they just threw out the 500/Montego names?
  6. Good review. I'd love to have one of these but I want some power. When does the SRT-4 become avaliable? PS: Don't know which one looks better, the car or the driver...
  7. Overall the design is good. No hood rakes and very clean. The rear is odd, it would probably look better with a real sedan rear, but this would make a good wagon option. The wheels arent that impressive but I do like the full Chrysler emblem on the wheel caps. I love the interior, albeit it looks a little tight. Under the hood is just plain sexy.
  8. Yea I was thinking bout findin a 1958 Plymouth Fury. But I've always wondered how a modern car would look with fins.
  9. Yes! I've always wanted a car with fins.
  10. Thats what I've been thinking. Would be nice if it could out muscle Ford and Chevy in every way from towing to hp.
  11. WHERE THE HELL DOES DCX GET THEIR MATERIALS FROM?!!?!!? (Seriously I wanna know where they get them from compared to GM, Ford and Toyota). Surely they can do better than this. Hell I could do better than this. I mean i know this is the base model, but if the base model doesnt look so hot, how would the higher models look? I wish I had enough money to buy 51% of DCX stock to end this string of horrid designs and cheap materials. Chrysler is an odd company; they make beautiful concepts and yet they produce vehicles such as Commander, Aspen, and Sebring (altho if you look at it long enough, looks pretty good). Although sometimes they do get it right, as of late no. I fear for the design of the NG Ram and Viper, and Magnum refresh.
  12. From the sketch the Nassau looks good even from the limited view. The Trailhawk seems promising and I agree, kill the Compass and add it. But I'll hold judgement until I see the sheetmetal because sometimes things get lost in translation ie Sebring.
  13. Is it possible to buy one in China and have it exported back here?
  14. I understand that the front fascia takes a while to get used to but how is it disproportinate?
  15. They look like Ford 500 taillights...
  16. Goody a better looking 'Bu. I cant wait to see it without that bothersome camo. It looks much better than the current gen and bigger from these pics. Now it only teases my curiosity of how the next Impala will look. PS: no matter how good the NG Impala looks, given a choice between it and a 300C, i'd have to choose the 300C if they havent screwed it up by then.
  17. Do automakers not read or listen to reviews of their vehicles? If I had a voice in DaimlerChrysler, I would read close to every review and see what mistakes were made and fix them or at least try to. Dont get me wrong Chrysler is a good company but they have problems with consistancy and IMO they need to be a little more aggressive. It seems as if they have gotten lazy. If I were them, I'd either upgrade or discontinue all outdated powerplants. Then I'd go through the ENTIRE lineup from Chrysler to Jeep and try to lighten up the vehicles. It would be nice if the designs of the cars were actually lighter than they appear. Being a fan of DaimlerChrysler I love their designs but some have to grow on me. I love the 300C/Magnum's design. The design of the Viper is ok. It lost much of its Viperness. Hopefully the NG will be better, like some thinner, more sinister headlamps. The new Ram had to grow on me as well as the Charger. The Durango looks like a polar bear and is odd because it shares no design cues with the Dakota or Ram except for the headlamps and the bumpers are hideous, which would unfortunately go the same for the Aspen. The Jeep GC I love but the Commander is just plain weird but mayb a redesign would change that. I think it would look better with plain square or circle headlamps and mayb tuck in some of the rear overhang. The Wrangler and Liberty are fine but the Compass is iffy. Chrysler designs are nice. Though I dont like the Aspen. It may grow on me but I dont know. The art deco lines on the hood are a nice touch even though it may seem too much. They might work better on a longer hooded car.
  18. The exact reason why automakers, esp American (GM, DCX), need 2 find an !!ALTERNATIVE FUEL!! instead of designing hybrids. Sure hybrids may use less gasoline, they still need it to run. When will the auto industry wake up and say "Hey lets not use gas anymore and use <insert alternative fuel here>." America needs to be independent from the chains of oil. I wouldnt care if ExxonMobil fell those dirty bastards... Mayb if America could pioneer in complete alternative fuel vehicle technology we wouldnt look like energy consuming pigs.
  19. It kinda looks like the Kia Sedona. Can anyone else see that?
  20. Holy sh!t. If this is the next 9-5 it would sell faster than a new hooker on the corner. GM, PLEASE LET THIS BE THE NEXT 9-5. Then make the 9-3 look somewhat similar.
  21. LOL, I like the way he thinks.
  22. Well maybe Jeep is hoping that people will treat them like a foriegn company and buy their ugly vehicles ie. Honda with its Ridgeline and Civic.
