  1. That Malloo looks massive compared to the Camaro. I sure hope they'll bring it. G8 SR(?) GXP.
  2. Not that it matters what it looks like. It's a Toyoduh, people will buy it like crazy, especially them greenish Californians.
  3. Thanks for the pics. Finally colors other than red. The blue looks great, even the gray looks alright, although silver would be better. I've come to like the design of the G8 because it's a nice evolution of the Grand Prix- which I find to be an attractive and unique car. Love those wheels, again, a reminder of the GP GT wheels. But seeing it here next to a Cobalt (!) shows the design problems: low beltline or too tall windows that makes it look like an 80s car. Nasty round window tops/ ceiling that looks like a Saturn S-series, or some other antiquated car. Weird C-pillar/rear window, horrible tail lamps that belong on an Impala. Hideous chrome framing the windows and grille- Pontiacs need no chrome! Why on earth the cheesy turn signal on the fender? The Aussie version doesn't have it. It should have been left integrated into the headlamps like the VE and GP.
  4. Thanks for the gorgeous pics. The Charger is one of the best looking cars on the road.
  5. The 07 GT would have been comparable, with leather and 17" rims would still have been cheaper AND more powerful than the anemic V6 in the G8.
  6. Let's not forget that these radios were a massive improvement over the previous ones. And I do find them to be attractive, with great feel, but functionally dependent on the version. The one on a LaCrosse worked better than the one in an Ion. Problem that GM misapplied them. The G6 should have gotten one instead of the ugly radios they put on there, while Deltas should have gotten something different. How is it that you get the same looking radio in a 15K car and a 30k car?
  7. The reason I would get a V6 instead of GT is gas cost and insurance cost. Compare Grand Prix prices: V6: 22500 GXP: 29500 G8 V6: 27959 G8 GT: 29995 It just doesn't make sense. The V6 is way too expensive. The GT too cheap. The GT's price won't stay that low for long. The V6 will have to be lowered or massive incentives. But this is typical GM, instead of setting realistic prices that they can keep, they let marketers set "introductory" prices. Then they have to correct things later. Why not ask 25k for the V6 and 31k for the GT and stick to it. Stop the snake oil salesmen techniques already.
  8. Great price for the GT. But for how long. Only a few months probably. Horrible price for the V6. So much the plan to replace my Grand Prix with a G8 V6. They'll have to pile on the incentives at that price.
  9. I'll miss the GP. In supercharged form it's a fun car and at no point do I find myself wishing for 2 more gears or for a DOHC engine. The interior, too, is by itself perfectly fine, the location of the ignition is great, unlike the G8's steering column location, everything is easily visible and intuititive to use. Because it does have some unique features it does make you feel like your car and not like some generic car where everything looks the same and works the same. I find the design great inside and out. It does look like nothing else on the road, unlike the G8 which is a mix of old BMW 3 and Galant. Perhaps it looks more than what it really delivers, while the G8 definetly underwhelms, at least in pictures, to what it should deliver.
  10. The 3.5 in the 07 is not the same engine as the 06 3.5 The 07 has 23 more HP but 2 less ft/lb of torque, that probably accounts, in part for the lower mileage. GM still hasn't figured out what Nissan, Honda, and Toyota know: how to get more power AND more mileage out of an engine. It is a shame that GM V6 are underpowered and too thirsty. Kinda pathetic actually, considering that Chrysler's ancient 3.5 cranks out 250/250. Here are the prices without dest. $16,845 7 Pontiac G6 1SV Sedan $18,365 2007 Pontiac G6 Sedan $21,765 2007 Pontiac G6 GT Coupe $21,965 2007 Pontiac G6 GT Sedan $24,065 2007 Pontiac G6 GTP Coupe $24,265 2007 Pontiac G6 GTP Sedan $28,365 2007 Pontiac G6 GT Convertible
  11. I'm hoping they'll also bring back the Firebird Trans Am (Ram Air?). That's the one I want. But if not, a Camaro will do, too.
