My 9-5 Aero

Featured Replies

Well I finally got a chance to take some pictures of my new 9-5. It's a 2001 Aero model with accessory wheels and performance exhaust. It took me about 15 minutes in a big parking lot to get the hang of the standard shift, but after that it clicked and I no longer fear rolling backwards 200ft into a ditch on every hill. I think the Blue Aero paint and tan leather interior go together very nicely, and the wheels are much better than the hideous 3-spoke triangular things that come standard. Here are pics fresh off the memory card:

Very nice.

Two or three questions, if you don't mind; how much horsepower does the exhaust add and does it make a difference? And what does the "Night Panel" feature do?

Very nice, control. I wonder if anyone makes a sticker with Calvin peeing on Volvo? He pees on everything else... :)

I actually don't know the HP increase of the exhaust system, if it does anything at all. It's mainly there to look cool and provide a deeper exhaust note. The Night Panel button is cool: at night you press it and all the dash lights turn off or dim except for the speedo. It's designed to be used if you're just cruising on the highway.

i think you should tuck that tip in better it looks like a tail bleh . . . hot car tho very classy . . . it reminds me of the early 90's infiniti interiors

Nice car, congrats! I really like the "Night Panel" feature, and I wish GM would use it in its other makes.
