I don't mind driving a V8

Featured Replies

At this speed I don't really mind it that much. This is the average at 80mph for 120 miles. What do most 4 bangers get at 80 mph?? $3.19/gal is still crap though.. >:(

I've averaged around 19 in mostly city driving with heavy a/c usage in my Aurora. Every time I start sweating bullets as the fuel pump registers $55.00, I remember what a horrible experience those rental Corollas were.

Nothing is more comfortable than wafting down the interstate at highway speeds in a large V8 car.

Suprisingly I'm averaging 19 in the city here in florida. 24/7 A/C usage.

I feel good since the Caprice on a hiway at about 78-82 gets around 25 mpg! but city :nono::banghead: im luvky if i get 14 mpg.

Well, I guess I'm not quite in the same bucket as y'all with a V8-powered car, but with my Impala I normally average about 25 in the city, but if I was able to shoehorn a V8 in there, i'd probably get the same mileage as youse guys.

I can almost guarantee my car gets better city than highway because of my 3.73s..

37 mpg in mine. I supposed to get 40 highway, though, so I gotta figure out what's not up to snuff. ;)

Yeah... the Northstar is a great motor. My hatred of FWD

aside our '97 STS's motor is still pretty damn awsome

considering the car has 145,000 on it. I still have to trade

in that car on something. It's been sitting at a buddy's

used car lot for like 4 months now. I'm tempted to part

out the car instead of selling it whole.
