No U.S. models on list of safest vehicles

Recommended Posts

Insurers <stack the deck> by requiring electronic stability control to be considered

The list:

LARGE CARS: Audi A-6

MIDSIZE CARS: Audi A-4, Saab 9-3, Subaru Legacy (with optional stability control)

MINIVANS: Hyundai Entourage, Kia Sedona

LUXURY SPORT UTILITIES: Mercedes M-class, Volvo XC90.

MIDSIZE SUVs: Acura RDX, Honda Pilot, Subaru B9 Tribeca

SMALL SUVs: Honda CR-V, Subaru Forester (with optional stability control)

Yet GM doesn't get a mention for producing the 9-3.

They keep making a huge deal about it on the news, ignoring the fact that IIHS test certain groups of cars at a time and also that GM pioneered mass-equipping non-luxury vehicles, pickups, SUVs, and 15-passenger vans with stability control. Assholes.
