My New Project

It's not nearly as involved as another car. I'll eventually turn this:

into a nice road bike. It's an Iron Horse Triumph Comp aluminum/carbon frame and fork, and it was a steal. The sad part is, getting this up and running will most likely involve dismantling my beloved restified Schwinn and retiring her if I can't find a cheap way to keep her complete. She served me well, finishing tied for 5th in a century ride two weeks ago. I'll probably ride the Schwinn through the summer and start hording the parts that I can't transfer over.

Have any pics of your Schwinn, z28?

Heh ... I really should get back to biking, but I haven't gone for a ride on mine since the late 1990s. Life just keeps getting busier and busier ... and I don't take the time.

But, in my younger days ... heh ... shoulda tried keeping me OFF the bike. I rode EVERYWHERE ... even on some streets in town that, today, I wouldn't dream of going anywhere NEAR on a bike.

Hey we Iron Horse bikers need to stick together. I'm riding my Orange Pearl Warrior Comp Hardtail these days and loving every minute of it.

Bikes are not my thing but it's always nice to get a project going.
