Fall Carlisle

Recommended Posts

I would like to, but with Englishtown last weekend and Hershey after C, I will miss it. Besides, a junkyard that has been closed for the better part of 20 years but has opened back up with limited Sat-only hours is on schedule for this weekend. That, plus another yard I have not been to in about 10 years, but had good vintage stuff (then at least).

Enjoy! Would like to meet you sometime. I'll be in Hershey a week from Saturday...if you're around.

Just remembered I am working the Rutgers game Sat, too- so Carlisle is definately out. I intend to hit Hershey Fri and sleep in my expansive Chevy truck and finish out Sat- we'll see how that goes. I wish the show ran into Sunday. I am not adverse to meeting up, tho the logistics would be formidable: I just wander in my own secret-systematic patterns, with no idea what field I'm on at a given time. I do have a 'mobile', however...

You and I work in similar ways. About the only thing that can be predicted about my nomadic pattern at Carlisle or Hershey is that I'll find the literature dealers along the way.

I've never attended the Fall Carlisle show, as I go to the Hershey show the following weekend and usually the same vendors show up there too (I'm sure some don't and others that don't go to Carlisle go to Hershey). This year there's a Mack Truck Show outside of Lancaster on the 6th, so I'm taking the little guy to that show. I'm like Hudson & Balthazar, I walk around blindly (whereever my feet take me), looking where I like and very rarely know what color field I'm in. Maybe next year I'll add the Spring Carlisle show to my agenda, maybe even the Spring or Fall Englishtown as I've never been there either and I'm only 30-45 mins away.

Balthazar:

Hmmmm, that newly opened junkyard sounds absolutely mouth watering.

The year is not over yet. I promissed to make a valiant effort to come down there w/ my B-59.

You... never... know.
