New Supra/LFA question

Featured Replies

ok so some of you may know and some of you may not but i run a car club website for my highschool, i have this one guy who is a huge lexus fan who swears that lexus going to make the lfa and have a 100k+ price tag on it and it will have over 500 hundred horses. i dont think there is much of a market for something and im not to up to date on japanese cars so if someone could provide me with some bullets to shoot him down (if he is wrong and i am right) id appriciate it.

i was under the idea that this was the new supra? but what do i know japanese cars arent my forte

Toyota is planning both the $100K V-10 LF-A and a V-6 Supra.

I haven't heard anything about a V6 Supra.
The LF-A is probably more an M6 fighter than a true all out performance machine.

of course there is this, likely a 4.6L or so.

The wheel/tire combo and low ride height clearly indicate its performance intentions

The LFA is more than likely going to happen. Its just a matter of when. It will use a V10 derived from its F1 ventures and might have a convertible version to along with it as spy shots have proven. That black one I has bee rumored as the IS350 Coupe. Time will tell. not really keeping my hopes up on the SUpra though. We have heard nothing official from Toyota about it. Just a bunch of horrible CGI's that all look incredibly differnt.

F1 derived? It might use some ideas from the F1 engine like BMW M5's engine, but it will be far from derived. The F1 engines are 3.0 liter with just less than 1000HP (Honda roumered having more than 1000 in their special Suzuka engine) and only lasts for about 800km. One engine alone costs millions to make. Where do you have those crazy rumours from? And that black car is the Toyota Crown! ~Sigh!~
