It does looks bad but I'll give it the benefit of the doubt and assume the harsh lighting is making it look so cheap.

The idea of a fast family hauler is strangely appealing, though.

I've sat in an R-Class, and they have fine interiors, with the exception of the location of the transmission shifter (column).

Cool... there's just something cool about an incredibly fast family tourer, though it really needs a 3-passenger second row. 6-passengers is just one more than an S-class can comfortably fit.

As far as the interior, it's too industrial for my liking, almost as if it were entirely engineered (not designed) on a computer. Whatever happened to the craftsman-like CLS or SL interior?
