GM Ride and Drive Oct. 30 noon-4, Flint MI

Featured Replies

I don't know if many people know of these events but its an awesome thing. They let you take a car around a predefined course with a sales person in the car. Generally its like a test drive with out that nasty dealership taste.

I believe it is open to the public. Usually 18 and older only and you have to pass a sobriety check.

It will be located at the Kettering University campus in Flint, MI. Although that area has no open roads so I wonder if the course will be lame...

There will be at least the Cruze there and the CTS Coupe there. And you will be able to get a ride in the Volt not drive it. I bet there will be a media booth there as well to hand out brochures and such.

If your close to Flint (first of all, I feel your pain if you live near Flint) then check this out if the weather is nice. At least it is something to due.

Wish I was closer, sounds awesome. Brother of a friend went to a similar event in Cincinnati and it was a hoot!

I am going to try and make it but there was a unexpected event that happened this week. If I can make it from Dearborn to Flint in 1.5 hours its possible for me to make the last 15 minutes... If I do I will try to grab some pics.

I am in Orlando this weekend, unfortunately.

Today GM had some cars in the "pool" out front of the School. They had

CTS-V Coupe AT

Corvette GS AT

Camaro SS MT

Cruze LS AT

Cruze LTZ AT

Escalade

Volt

Hopefully this is what they have there on Saturday. I was hoping for a Cruze with a 6 speed manual though.
