  1. UPDATE : My brother has bowed out of the engine rebuild pecking order; he's way too busy with work & building a garage/apartment addition at his place, which means I'm up next. Going to try to hold the builder to the promised '3 month turnaround'. But now I have to shift into overdrive and get this out & prepped. Moved some stuff around in Bay 3 to make room for the cherry picker moving around/planning The Yank. Then got sidetracked cutting the bum steel wheels off a 1940’s dress stand to convert it into a floor lamp (has an interesting cast iron 4-leg base).

  3. I needed some cleaning products for my automobiles. Both cars hadnt been cleaned on the inside for quite some time now... I have 3 consecutive days off starting today so I thought Id do some car cleaning. I thought I had some left over but nope, so before heading to work yesterday, I bought some cleaning products. And this is what I saw in the Canadian Tire parking lot. My dad's 1979 Impala seemed to have had the same colour... Say what you will about 1970s cars from GM. Diss, bitch and complain and say that GM's troubles began in the 1970s. I, for one though, LOVE many many GM products from this era. This Poncho right here...long, low and sleek. Beautiful convertible. Miles better looking and interesting than the shyte cars that you could see in the background...

  5. Finally; quicker in the quarter than a Dodge. Impressive numbers... just don't see many takers out there. No, like I said; he's looking at a looming CASH FLOW problem.

  6. After CARiD shipped me a bed mat for a Ford Super Duty, finally got my GM bed mat in. Took a 95-mile round trip today; bought a spare hood & rear bumper for my brother’s ‘71 GTO and dropped it off. Working thru the prior-to-me 110 miles out of the 400-mile MPG window… look at both the MPG and the miles driven/fuel gauge :

  8. It wouldn't fly on sedans, and prolly not so much for SUVs, but I think the truck segment really could use some bold colors... and they'd sell.
