  1. Going to have to disagree with you there. Chevy has not one direct competitor for Jeep, and definitely when it comes to true off road SUVs like the Wrangler. I’m not sweating the naming use of the Blazer like Mr fake outrage above but to say that Chevy competes with Jeep is a reach. …or EQS, EQE, etc.

  2. This is the spiritual successor to the Neu Beetle. Retro, cute, but this time a modern powertrain and roomy enough for people/families to actually buy.

  4. Deflection because, as a matter of percentages, there are more luxury cars on the EV side than IC. EVs started with luxury cars so it is easily explained. And the Equinox is another GM EV and it's shooting for $30K so...

  5. Why laugh?? There are people getting horrifically gouged by market adjustment pricing out there.

  6. So... an option. Yes, it will be interesting to see the MSRP once set.

  7. Yes, ID.Buzz Cargo is RWD only as is the launch ID.Buzz passenger auto. I agree with using the same MEB platform as the ID. SUVs, I see no reason not to have an AWD version. Especially since the Canoo company has stated they will have RWD/AWD when production starts end of this year. Seems this summer or fall actual pricing will be released and firm details on the options available. We know one option is the Travel Assist package. 9. If they make it AWD, they will sell all they can make. I can see this as a family Life Style auto for skiing, camping, etc.

  11. But my initial post wasn't about comparing the trucks as if cross-shopping them, but about gas + IC truck price vs. BE truck price. Other than a slow trickle of Rivian's, the Silverado / GMC BE's aren't out, and [correct me if wrong] neither is the Lightning. So one couldn't 'shop them currently' anyway. BTW : there's a local dealer who's website says they 'never charge more than $300 over MSRP', plus I've read in passing about a couple others doing the same currently (not that I've researched this), so I could get one at MSRP today [no; not anywhere near the deal I got].

  12. I don’t know if I’ve ever said this about a VW but I really want that! I have never been a fan of VW but I have always had a thing for the Microbus.

  13. 480,000 + 96,000 + 35,000... but don't forget the Gov't fleet of 695,000. 1,306,000,000 vehicles, all a factor of anywhere from twice to 5 times the cost of the existing fleet... 3/4s of a trillion? Factor in the time & inefficiency element to do so (50 years) and it'll grow to 2 trillion. Then there's the recycling of 1.3 million vehicles, plus -of course- the taxes, fees, certification and administrative costs for the recycling... make it 5 trillion. No prob- take 6-9 months.

  14. Interesting, I saw this story about $1.5 Billion for buying clean electric buses across the nation. So I figure as per some that say the EV buses are about $500,000 each, how many would be bought? 3,000 So then I thought, wonder how many public buses are in the U.S. as I never really thought about it before. Per the following info: School Buses: America's Largest Transit System | Newgeography.com We got a long way to go to replace buses!
