1. This is exactly why I'm fretting over the profit margins. Kappa is/was NOT a moneymaker.
2. Well, my biggest question/concern is the profit margin on the base. Sure, it's really affordable, but it won't do GM any favors to sell these at a loss. Anyone know the profit margin on these?

Threat? WHAT. THE. f@#k. All this drama because I didn't find your attempt at humor to be funny in the least? And no...it's mainly not funny anymore because you've only been making variations of the same joke for years now. How many times do you expect to get a laugh out of telling the SAME joke to the same people? f@#k it, I'm done with this $h!.

You're seriously threatening me? Over the internet? No, sir, YOU need to "get over it."
7. Without seeing the dressing, I can't really say...but if it isn't a soy-ginger dressing, than it's probably a miso dressing. There could very well be orange or carrot in there, but I've never really seen that...and I'd be shocked if there weren't ginger in that dressing somewhere.

What, I'm being honest and direct here. As I always am. You start a thread apologizing for being out of line, and you're offended that I agree with you that you were out of line? Really? Seriously? Because all that does is make me doubt the sincerity of your original post.

Not offensive...more like "tedious."
10. Those are typically some form of a soy ginger dressing, with the orange stuff being smelt caviar.

Well I'm glad you've realized what a hypocrite you've been the past month or so, but honestly all it takes is a little bit of personal maturity. Actions speak louder than words, so if you're really coming to an epiphany, then you'll prove it by: a) being able to participate in political threads without getting whiny because the majority of posters do not agree with you, OR by showing the self-restraint to stay out of those threads if you cannot handle them. There are PLENTY of non-political threads in the lounge. b) not resorting to petty sniping. Fine if you disagree vehemently with someone in a thread, but then taking that dissatisfaction outside that to another area...yea not cool. Holding grudges is so negative and frankly obnoxious. I really appreciate your creating this thread, as I'd been recently contemplating putting you on my ignore list. I'm glad I don't have to do that now.

Ya Know...

Huh? There really isn't anything in the Constitution or election laws that precludes a multiple party system. We have other parties...just no one votes for them. Most likely because they get started by whackjobs and have a single agenda, without encompassing broad policy points.

14. QUOTE(ocnblu @ Oct 12 2008, 03:21 PM) They have knock-offs though. I wouldn't know. I've never really understood the kind of people who buy knockoffs...I mean if you're THAT desperate for "the look" you can't afford, you're just chasing the wrong things in life...or need to get a better-paying job.
15. Anyway, back to the real subject here... Dim sum was awesome. Went with a couple bad Jews, and it was pretty much a pork and shellfish lovefest. Started off with deep-fried tofu with scallions and spicy salt. Delicious. Perfect blend of crunchy/mushy and salty/savory. Next up was the pork/shrimp wonton soup. Extra yummy. Then we got inundated with har gow, scallop dumplings, shrimp salad dumplings, beef balls,* fish balls,* Chinese broccoli in oyster sauce, shrimp cheung fan, and lotus leaf sticky rice. The dumplings were a little gummy, but overall tasty. We finished up with some shrimp eggrolls and egg custard tarts, and this ginormous feast came to a grand total of $61, split 5 ways. It was funny, too, as another group of friends just happened to show up halfway through our meal and sat a few tables away. It was so much fun. *Since Blu is somewhere around 12 years old, I'll make the lame testicle reference here first.
16. QUOTE(Satty @ Oct 12 2008, 03:04 PM) Loosely translated its "tiny heart" It actually is more akin to "touch the heart," or "piece of the heart." And dachsunds and chihuahuas aren't even native to China.

Then I really don't give a $h!. I'd rather spend 2 hours watching trashy reality tv than give my attention to Bush any longer than necessary.
18. QUOTE(ocnblu @ Oct 12 2008, 06:41 AM) I had cubed Spam and sliced, preboiled potatoes browned in buttuh this morning... yum, now I need to go to the gym and work it off. Spam? That sounds like something Paula would cook up on a hungover off-day. I'm about to go get dim sum in Chinatown with some friends.

I'm not going to unless friends want me to go with them...I mean why pay $12 at the Grove when I've had a front seat to all this the past 8 years for free? I'm so over this administration, and prolly will try to just block it from my memory until some REAL historical analysis can be made and published in 10-20 years. Think about it...in 2008, we still can't really look back and judge the Clinton administration and its impacts all that clearly...we're just now being able to wrap our heads around the 80s...so I think this movie is premature and cannot paint more than a pop-culture superficial picture of Bush's "legacy" because it cannot have critical distance.
20. There is no value in the Chrysler, Dodge or Jeep brands for GM. None whatsoever.
21. Would you like to elaborate on that? Or are you just making the point that there are ignorant people in the general sense on both sides of the line, owing primarily to the sheer number of people in this country and all of them essentially being a binary? Sorry, but you've posted too many unsubstantiated (and easily-debunked) political email hoaxes for me to agree with that. I'm not trying to make a personal attack here at all. I just think you'd be more persuasive and come off better if your arguing style were less "Oh yea? Well Obama does THIS!" and more "Here are the X issues I care about most, these are my X positions, my X reasons for supporting these positions, and here's how John McCain furthers my X personal interests." It's like if you've ever seen Bitsy on The View...Joy, Whoopie, and Barbara often make very logical points supporting their positions, while Bitsy gets flustered and resorts to shrill unrelated accusations against THEIR political candidate, instead of discussing their argument itself, or defending her own point of view. It's like asking somebody why they like carrots, and them responding with "Because the Dutch say you shouldn't microwave spinach, onions make your eyes water, and if my cat accidentally eats garlic it could die!"
22. What the f@#k? How does not ingratiating herself with people (pretty much the cornerstone of successful politics, btw) make this suddenly a partisan attack? The investigation was begun by a bipartisan vote, and after the McCain campaign tried to derail it, a Republican-majority bipartisan group voted to continue pursuing it. Frankly, her inability to work well with members of her own party raises yet another concern of why she is on this ticket. We are talking about politics, and particularly those pertaining to a potential vice president. How could it NOT be politically-charged? How do you come up with this from the following quote: I fail to see any recommendation to "do nothing." What I do see is an explanation of how this situation could possibly play out due to the statutes in Alaska, if those responsible for doing so choose to pursue it. But since Alaska has an ethics statute, she was NOT within her rights to do as she did, and this report found her guilty of violating the statute.
23. Oh, you mean the Republican-majority panel? This investigation would never have happened without Republican votes of authorization.
24. Well I learn something new every day...here I thought eugenics subscribers had pretty much died out after Hitler.

Close call

Less joke-making, more photo-taking. Let's see some mangled steel, like yesterday.
