  1. I thought about that...BUT my rationale for not doing it was:1. I don't want all Cadillacs to have the exact same face. 2. Deville's have always had stacked horizontal headlamps (slight horizontal rectangle) than vertical. 3. The current vertical headlamps on the DTS are very poorly-executed. The only thing I want to revise (and eliminate the "be a better Buick" is the roofline. I say keep the front door part of it as is...but once the passenger door is hit keep the roofline/greenhouse flat.
  2. FOG think about what you just said...now does it make any sense whatsoever that taking the most geriatric Buick, stuffing the GXP and SS engine under its hood, and calling it "Super" would attract any more young buyers than if they gave away a free box of depends with every radio upgrade?
  3. hey NOS I just realized we forgot the CHMSL...and we prolly should've modified the greenhouse for the rear seat to flatten the top of the window like the other Caddy's cuz it's just a wee bit too curvy. But yea...damn that all came out better than I thought it would
  4. THANKS NOS!! Reg, it also resembles the current DTS...
  5. Rust is also caused by the presence of moisture in the air...and unless it's been in Arizona since the 70s it'd had to have experienced that! I dunno...I'm just shocked it is in such good condition...and wondering who held onto it this long?
  6. Actually the Vega had a notorious rust problem and was known as the cancer-mobile for that reason.
  7. yea i dispense with punctuation when im in a hurry
  8. I'm just shocked at how very comparable and in some ways bigger the Statesman is to the DTS...especially with trunk volume!
  9. So I'm looking on the Holden site and I found some very interesting things: Exterior | Statesman vs. DTS Overall Length: 203.1 vs. 207.6 Wheelbase: 118.5 vs. 115.6 Body width: 74.8 vs. 74.8 Trunk Volume: 18.9 vs. 18.8 Interior | Statesman vs. DTS Legroom Front: 42.2 vs. 42.5 Legroom Rear: 43.2 vs. 42.0 Shoulder Front: 59.1 vs. 60.0 Shoulder Rear: 59.1 vs. 59.2 Headroom Front: 38.8 vs. 38.3 Headroom Rear: 38.0 vs. 38.4 Hiproom Front: 56.7 vs. 57.3 Hiproom Rear: 58.0 vs. 55.7 Note just how close these two are dimensionally?? Statesman has enough creases that it could pass as a Cadillac DTS with only minor revision... (pictures coming soon)
  10. I really don't see what's wrong with the Commodore's sheetmetal...it would make a fine Pontiac. I don't even think it looks bland in the least! Judging by the models I see on the Holden site, I expect the Pontiac to be the SS and SS V-Series models as those seem pretty upscale and have a lot of Pontiac-esque styling to them. The V-Series' rear looks like it could be a credible evolution of the last Bonneville. I endorse this import.
  11. So why hasn't it rusted out? I mean it wasn't vacuum sealed was it?
  12. nope V6 and yes the fully loaded AWD V6 was over 60k. The price diff between a fully loaded V6 and V8 was so negligible it was ridiculous
  13. 2007 V6 SRX AWD FULLY LOADED MSRP UNDER $55K!!!! They def dropped the price like 8k...yessssss
  14. um, i thought it was pretty clear by my abundant use of smilies that i was joking...
  15. see my comment is that unlike Camry, Altima looks good in this color.
  16. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!And no BV I'm certainly not drunk...nor was I when making those posts.
  17. yea, it would make you look really bad if it did...
  18. settle down? ok mommy... im glad nothing excites you...because then id feel kinda creeped out :AH-HA_wink:
  19. I guarantee they had to give out their email for the program, and his AIM screen name was prolly the same as his email. most teens still have their old AOL s/ns
  20. ew no thanks. hey bob (if you read this), ten bucks says ocn misinterprets this little exchange as some kind of "clue" heh...
  21. See I disagree. This conversation clearly wasn't the first one he had with Foley, and it certainly wasn't the second either. This had been going on for a while...if Foley had been making these advances for a while...the kid prolly just went along with it since it wasn't going to stop in his mind and would be easier for him as a page because: Yes. Specific Congresspeople. He was Foley's personal gofer for however long the program was (a summer? semester?) Either way, it was a long enough time that honestly the kids (since it was more than one submitting these IMs and this happened more than with one kid) prolly just went with it after a while so they'd get the recommendation and just not deal/stress about it. That's my guess at least. The guy had the power, they didn't, they wanted the recommendation, so instead of giving static they just went along with it/ignored it. When reading those IMs I interpreted the multiple "lol" occurrences (especially when nothing was funny) as nervous laughter. Again, I could be wrong...but I don't know anyone who uses an "lol" in almost every IM.
  22. Oh they prolly just haven't found those IMs yet...
  23. yea like this (googled "cast fetish"...first site: Yea...that really turns me on...
  24. dude no worries my post was more in response to ocn's than yours...you only got referenced by the cast fetish line :AH-HA_wink:
