    My LG Phone...

The RAZR is the best phone hands down I have ever owned. It is almost as good as my old green screen Nokia from 2002 that had impeccable reception. The RAZR isn't at that level, but since Nokia doesn't make a compelling flip phone (a necessity as my old Nokia would hit buttons in my pocket and waste minutes on dialing "555" or "23#53" since keylock could and did get punched off in my pocket). Highlights: LOUD ringers on the RAZR. The speakerphone is also really loud, though sometimes it's a wee distorted. Reception is very good to excellent. I love how I can use my Motorola cable and software (sold separately) to hook up to my computer and create custom ringtones/swap pictures. It is DURABLE. Only "damage" are a few scratches here and there since it goes in the same pocket as my keys. Now, if you are one of the people who are clumsy and "drop" their phone all the time (I never understood this phenomenon) then know that dropping a RAZR on anything harder than carpet has been known to cause the screen to pop out and may even break the phone. So don't drop it. It is made of metal and not plastic, and otherwise holds up better.

And has a better interior than the Pontiac. Bean counters would've badge-jobbed it. That didn't happen.

Do not condescend to me again. Is that clear?Of course it isn't addressed by Buickman's plan! That was the entire point of that portion of my post! Because the Plan doesn't address the root problem of woefully inadequate product throughout almost the entire GM lineup, it is deeply flawed. GM needs to focus its efforts and resources on making good product, NOT more marketing smoke and mirrors! An over-reliance on marketing smoke and mirrors for the past 30 years is what has caused GM to be in this mess to begin with. You can call for better marketing all you want, but the fact remains that once the consumer goes to the GM dealership and sees the product firsthand, notices the inferiority of the product in comparison to the competition in person and, if the consumer is significantly more open-minded than average, takes it for a test drive, the consumer will know through first-hand experience that it is all a bunch of smoke and mirrors marketing. Now, find me a plan that actually addresses the underlying issues that plague GM and address the issue of product and then I will discuss its merits with you and maybe even endorse it. This Return to Greatness doesn't even come close.

Is delayering "doing nothing" in your book? So far the GMT900s are exceeding expectations. Is that not proof that something is different?Just because you can't see the product yet doesn't mean GM's been sitting on its collective ass for the last 4 years. The Return to Greatness has been picked apart so many times now, but the main 2 things it fails to consider are: 1) It does not address the real problem. Low sales are not the problem; the problem is poor product that leads to low sales. You address the real problem and the sales will come. 2) Much of the Plan is either unenforceable by GM (dealers are autonomous) or downright illegal due to dealer franchise laws, which vary from state to state. If you want a more specific description of which points are unenforceable and/or illegal, go find one of those other threads with the responses in them.

  14. 12:01 ET AP - General Motors CEO Rick Wagoner announced his resignation today amidst persistant rumors of an impending boardroom coup. Although the GM Board of Directors have not commented to the media, speculation within the industry has suggested that the recent appointment of board member Jerry York could have been the catalyst for Wagoner's resignation. Before being appointed to the board, York had publicly commented that GM should sell off the underperforming SAAB and HUMMER brands, a strategy Wagoner openly opposed. Within certain industry circles Wagoner has been known as "Red Ink Rick," a nickname that references GM's spiral toward bankruptcy and an SEC probe under his watch. GM recently restated its earnings for several years. Automotive industry insider Jim Dollinger, a man known by many as "The Buickman," has been a vocal critic of Wagoner. Using over14 years of experience selling Buicks, Dollinger created a Return to Greatness plan amidst spiraling sales and profits at GM. "Wagoner wouldn't at least try Return to Greatness, laments Dollinger, "There is no cost involved and it would work to actually lower expenses." Wagoner has his supporters, however, including one industry insider known only by the pseudonym "evok." Evok believes that many of GM's current problems are a result of poor decisions from the past 30 years and praises Wagoner for keeping GM fully funded. "It is the mistakes of the last 30 years and the history of the last 100 that created the GM of today," says evok, [the] billions of dollars from GMAC and bond issues a few years ago went into the retirement obligations. If that was not done when it [was], GM would not be fully funded for the next few years." No mention has been made regarding Wagoner's successor. More as it develops. ------- http://www.if-you-believe-this-you-must-be-retarded.com In other news, evok is full of $h!, Buickman administers enema. HAPPY APRIL FOOL'S DAY! --Croc

Remember that child in elementary school who never shut up and whenever was told to shut up would reply "You're not the boss of me! You can't make me! I'll never shut up!"? You WERE that child, weren't you?How does it feel to be a child left behind?

  19. I hate this! I hope this is as accurate as your typical C&D rendering... What's wrong? Primarily, very dated styling from 1998. The trend has been to substantial, more formal rooflines, and this design features spindly, thin C-pillars. The rear is bland, but acceptable, though far too influenced by AUDI. The front is straight off the VW Phaeton. Overall, I've seen this car before, and if the 500/Montego get panned for derivative VW styling a generation late, then so should this. Overall: D-

  24. But the soybeans wouldn't need to be subsidized when the demand for fuel is there and the US becomes the global biodiesel leader. As for sending the country into greater debt by changing existing engines to diesel...uhh...what would happen going to hydrogen or something else? New vehicles would be diesel and gasoline would be available at stations but gradually phased out as demand diminishes. I wouldn't use them. Wanna lose weight? Only one way: eat more efficiently and exercise more frequently, emphasizing glute and calf exercises and aerobic activity. If you want to use ephedra I can say it helps speed things up a little, but read up on it so you know that too much isn't a good thing. I'd like a source for this information. I have read numerous sources citing Splenda's non-natural origins and how "sucralose" is a misnomer.
