derr, it was his only open window.

Sombrero's are good. I take mine with skim to keep the calories low..Kahlua ice cream is the best use of Kahlua though... Dragon Sushi? You mean Dragon Rolls? Nothing really exotic about them, just the presentation to make them look like a dragon! I believe they are topped with avocado to achieve the effect. IIRC they are very similar to the Caterpillar roll...sometimes the names have been used interchangeably.

Change mine to suburban

I love urban! Los Angeles is amazing IMO 9million and counting!
-
Sweet! Nice work, Josh!

Oh c'mon now! Don't stoop to this level! Can we take the high road? Just once?
-
Damn straight! I don't take kindly to someone being a jackass and then calling ME out for "taking things personally" as if that were the problem of the situation. I will NOT be someone's scapegoat!

Oh I've been to Houston. Love it. Galleria is my favorite mall. There's a sushi buffet called Kirin that is REALLY good. When I posted my above post, though, I was really referring to going outside of LA but staying in SoCal or maybe venturing into NorCal. I was just saying that I know there's more to SoCal than LA...and I need to visit it sometime.

How in the hell do I take the "bashing" personally? Honestly, find some posts where I have. I engage in quite a bit of GM "bashing" and some members even accuse me of being anti-GM!! I certainly don't take import-bashing personally because I'm much more pro-domestic! What I have a big problem with is that you post here, are unreasonably negative about GM (find three positive posts you have made regarding GM--bet you can't!), and all the while you sit there at your computer and call Americans "fat" and "stupid." Then you have the gall to go on a Toyota board and post a topic to make fun of us!! NO ONE ON THIS BOARD GOES TO TOYOTA AND HONDA SITES TO POST POSTS TO MAKE FUN OF PEOPLE!! Now, Kris, your post above comes off as EXTREMELY hypocritical. YOU were the one who instigated the fight. YOU were the one who asked us questions in topics FOR THE SAKE OF RIDICULE. That makes YOU the douchebag in this situation. I'm a pretty smart guy, and I am very good at detecting B.S. You know what? Your post smells pretty bad. All this crap about "stop fighting, stop the name calling, and talk about the love of cars, not the politics" is some advice you really should have taken yourself when you decided all you would do is troll these boards. WHOOPS! Now you've been caught for the duplicitous snake that you are, and not only are you trying to prove yourself a GM fan, but you are now deflecting the situation onto US. THE NERVE! Listen, buddy, I'm not buying it. You've been caught, and now you are trying to weasel your way out of it all. Not gonna happen with me, and not gonna happen with a lot of our members here. I'll tell you this...you are damn lucky that I am no longer a mod because while I couldn't ban you, your posting would be revoked for a very long time at this point. Not only did you disrespect the vast majority of our posters here, but you disrespected the site! The best part of it all, though, is that none of your fellow Toyota fans thought very much of the entire spectacle! They, being decent human beings, saw it as the immature ploy it was, and not a single one really bashed this site. Only you. I saw several posts that even said that while they disagreed with our views, they acknowledged that our concerns were valid. So instead of being a coward, be a man and own up to what you did. Quit playing the "it was a joke" card because no one here is buying it! Now that I've said my piece, I'm gonna leave this post with a final word: DON'T YOU EVER CALL ME OUT AGAIN! Like me or not, I don't give a damn. But you, Polish Kris, have nothing on me.

IMO the coolest thing about the FL keys is the old Bahia Honda bridge...it was a camelback trestle bridge that was converted into a road by building the road on TOP of the trestles, so the bridge had a big hump in it...pretty strange if you ask me...

Exactly...see here's my thing: I can understand a vehicle having problems. It happens. But the company needs to be given the chance to make it right. With my M-Class, it's in the shop pretty frequently for stupid dumb little things. The only time I have had issues is when the problem is recurrent (wipers wear out very quickly, and the wipers are made so only special Mercedes wipers can be used...DIC resets upon every start of the car...radio volume turns up to full blast randomly for no reason...etc) But if it's just a few little things that are serviceable i.e. not related to a gross design flaw or electrical gremlin...then give them the chance to make it right! Especially since yours is a first year!

Well, this is interesting. You'd think with all the R&D they wouldn't just give up...how hard can it be? GM has retractible hardtops with the XLR and SSR...
-
So basically this is for cowards.......ok......

The people over there were really respectful. Except Kris. What a douchebag. Remember when he posted here that all Americans are fat? Yea...what a classy guy that Polish Kris is...

I need to go out of LA sometime. My mobility is pretty limited (no car), but I feel like I'm missing out by not going elsewhere. Maybe I'll win that Saturn SKY I entered into...

Thin crusts all the way... Best "fast food" pizza? A midwestern chain called Donatos. Best sauce. I get mine pepperoni. K.I.S.S. Best "real" pizza? CPK "The White Pizza" with the applewood bacon. Yummy.

Miso soup is the best. Hands down.

Heh Lobster Tail is what I get everytime I'm dragged to a steakhouse...though if I know the steakhouse meets my standards, I'll order a filet RARE! YUM!

I think your constant negativity toward GM on a GM fan site is childish and pointless. Like attention much? -- Nick, I agree that sometimes the bashing goes pretty far beyond the realm of acceptability, but honestly, I do not like Toyota products much for a variety of reasons, but mainly I just don't like Toyota as a company. I don't think they are an ethical company, and I do not like the way they do their business. Yes, some products might be good, but I can never like a Lexus or a Toyota...kind of like how I just cannot like Wal*Mart. For me it goes beyond the products and into the realm of business politics.

Mmmmmm I love Korean...it isn't that much different from Chinese or Japanese... If you ever want to try some good Korean that to my knowledge doesn't sell bad, go to Seol Jung...street level of the Wilshire Grand at the corner of Wilshire and Figueroa. A bit pricey, but their Bul Go Gee is to die for. -- NOS, you are officially uncool for not liking corned beef. Very uncool. I'll have you know my favorite sandwich is a New York Reuban! Back in Indy we have the BEST Kosher deli that makes the BEST reubans. And you don't like cheese. WTF is up with that? I swear NOS I won't be surprised if you have this revelation in ten minutes that you don't like PB&J! :o :P

I'd love to try Ethiopian, though I don't know of any restaurants. Haven't tried Falafel yet, but I want to.

I have been known to eat some of the shittiest Chinese food known to man, namely Panda Express. They are truly disgusting, but when I have that craving for greasy nasty chow mein there's only one place to go... That said, I've found a delicious (albeit pricey) place called Wokcano that delivers...YUM though I just spent $40 on a dinner that'll last me two nights...

Hot dogs are mystery meat that has been dyed pink...so no me gusta unless they are all beef/kosher franks. That's my line--I gotta know what's in it!
