It depends on how the comps are run--will entries be screened before posted? I can definitely see making the comps more accessible and streamlining that, but I wouldn't want the "impressive" nature of the comps diluted by a newb who draws like a toddler. Just my $0.02

Exterior looks great! I need to see the interior in person before I pass a verdict on it, though, because from the photos above some of the plastic trim pieces look rather cheap, and the carpet seems pretty thin and low-budget, too.

Really, most people carry more than one passenger regularly, especially married couples, couples with children, and anyone who socializes with their parents or in-laws. As such, a sedan is the most practical vehicle type, with the most appeal, and therefore the most potential sales. And it's not like days of old where sedans uniformly drive poorly; many brands offer fun-to-drive sedans now.

Honestly, I don't think this is an appropriate question to ask people. Mods and Admins do have access to who voted for what option (at least on the old boards), and while I'm not accusing anybody of being the type of person to abuse that access, I do think a question such as this isn't appropriate where complete anonymity is not secured.

Yup, but look at those two interiors: very few parts are actually shared. But they look the same. So GM is spending the money for two unique interiors, yet they look like the Plan A and Plan B of the same damn interior. That's wasted money in the worst way.

Paulie--they're "safer" because of basic physics: in a collision, mass wins. These things are generally tanks, and the AWD/4WD near-exclusivity of SUVs in the early years of the segment's popularity DO make a difference in icy weather. Now that AWD is becoming more and more mainstream, this advantage is pretty much moot.

Oldsmoboi: The reason the current SRX hasn't sold well is threefold: 1) The original offering had a $h!teous interior 2) The refreshed interior, which is fantastic materials-wise and certainly at or near the top of its class, came with no exterior freshening. No one knew anything changed, and GM hasn't marketed it. The only real marketing it has received are the numerous accolades in the enthusiast press and Edmunds. 3) The SUV market tanked around the time of the refresh release...yet sales improved post-2007.

Well if I were tasked with inventing an insanely low-calorie pizza that maximized the health benefits of every calorie without sacrificing taste, I'd maybe do something like: Foccacia bread base (can't get lower calorie bread than that!), brushed with garlic and avocado oil (hard to find, Amazon has it, but specialty and regional stores may carry it. Olive oil can substitute.) Fresh diced cherry tomatoes Freshly shaved parmesan Fresh baby spinach Finely chopped onions Chopped Kalamata olives Sliced mushrooms Basil Oregano Cracked black pepper Seriously, something with those ingredients will be very calorie-efficient. The tomatoes will have a few calories, the parm obviously will, and the olives will have some, as will the oil--but all of those calories will be from unsaturated fats that ARE NOT BAD FOR YOU. Foccacia bread is the lowest-calorie bread ever, too. As far as cooking, toast in a toaster oven if using pre-made foccacia bread...otherwise bake the foccacia dough with toppings VERY ATTENTIVELY. I just made this up, so I don't really have much for prepping/baking, but you couldn't go wrong with these ingredients. Let me know if you can make something decent out of it!

No. If you want retro diet beverages, RC Cola's Diet Rite was the first palatable diet drink on the market--and it's far superior to TaB.

Define "bad." Your best bet would be to find some pizza that is a) thin crust, b) uses light cheese, c) uses meats sparingly, and c) is loaded with veggies. CPK makes several varieties that fit some of these criteria, but just look at the nutrition info and google for suggestions on pizzas that fit your health needs.

Who knows, maybe it will show up as a Chevrolet, as it really should have been in the first place.

That was an assumption on my part--that your reference to being a homeowner vs. renter had to do with property taxes since you were suggesting I'd change my mind on voting conservative/progressive once I became a homeowner. Usually the property tax argument fits in very well here. That still said, I highly doubt I'd change my mind on this. I'm very principled and don't change my mind often on things. My other concerns about the local area keep me neatly in the D fold too: historic preservation, sustainability, convenient and affordable transit, affordable housing, infrastructure improvements, etc.

Get your panties out of a bunch. I have no idea whether or not you will choose to engage in a discussion with me that you deem "retarded" (??? arguing with me about my opinion ???), especially over a vehicle that isn't even being spy photo'd. If you have followed my posts, I said I might like the vehicle more if it had a different name. You see, I'm already a fan of the SRX. And the new SRX does not suit me anywhere near as much as the current model does. By keeping the same model name, it creates expectations. Expectations for improvement. When the overall vehicle appears to be one downgrade after another, it is disappointing. And what is the targeted competition? This thing doesn't fit into a segment very well, like many GM vehicles. Will it compete with an RX? An Enclave? An EX? On what? Content? Price? MPG? Who the hell knows. I hope for GM's sake that it sells, but it won't generate a sale to me.

And once again, fitting into only the "segment" GM created for it, I question what sales will be like. And again, if this is wider, why in hell do rear seat passenger width dimensions fall so much?

Guys, tough financial times call for cutbacks in non-profitable areas. The writing was on the wall when they never announced the official name and winner behind that name back in the summer.
