  1. Uhhhhh, yes it is from a Express (wonderbread wagon) van, Sharp eye. I cut it to make a more modern looking SS badge....Are your ss letters missing?
  2. They came on late model extreme S-10/S-15 P/Us...ZQ8 pkg. I needed metric studs, to use the lug-nuts w/ outer threads to retain the center caps.... So I bought 87 Monte rotors that fit perfect! no prob. No overheating allowed. Twin fans are from a new dodge ram....only use one for normal traffic, In stop and go traffic on a hot day, I flip on the second fan and it drops right to 185 degrees. Thanks for all the nice comments you guys. I have 2" drop spindles waiting on the bench and a 700R4 trans ready to go in.
  3. My Dad bought this new in '92 he took realllllllllly good care of it and didn't drive it much. I'm lucky to have it now. yeah its a clean '92
  4. I've wanted these wheels a long time.....score! w/new shoes. check the clearance clarence.
  5. Its more than discussing money. It's all about structure. Structure is king!!! and allows the car to feel better, tighter, rigid, safe... A full Bplr makes the car perform as it should and feel right. The new FMVSS side impact safety stds for 2010 + are incredibly voilent! The Feds are to blame for 68's stubby Bplr missing not GM. I cannot imagine how any convt will pass them....without enormous structural weight added ... I would rather have a fullBplronthesideofme than a frontal lobotomy. and a roof too The Government dictates sooo much of the parameters involved in car design that soon we won't be able to design them anymore. The mass required for the safety of occupants will be too great to meet the new mpg mandates. No more cars. Thanks a pantload Government, ruin everything.
  6. They show up on craigslist in detroit every few months..this summer a saw a few for sale. Lots of special cars going up for sale here in MI......If I was buying a convertible this would be it. My buddy had a 89 convt stick car that was stolen....he had it in storage w/o wheels and it was dragged100ft on the disc brake rotors....never to be seen again. That was one highly sought after unit. heres one there are a bunch w t-tops also checkitout http://detroit.craigslist.org/car/411999034.html
  7. Yeah I tried to jump around ...Its wierd, but I kinda get tired of seeing all the regular cool cars by Saturday sometimes....I get burnout and then almost all cool cars are like ......"meh" they have to be different to raise an eyebrow.
  8. One more set for you. One of these days.... see ya next time
  9. Here are some more shots ....Saturday wasn't too good for taking pictures tho so I didn't take as many... Cool bodyshop Bldgw/rotating tires w/like a 2" wobble to them.. 9 1/2 Mile at Wwd We went to a cop show in Ferndale on 9 mile: Buick bucket too bad about the column tho

  23. Thanks everybody... Nice. Here are some others, and I added twin electric fans w/more cool aluminum fabrication (my own work) I will take some more detailed pics as I finish the trim........ I also put in a floor shift. I like it better than any car I've had. check out the fuel gauge. three wires- easy. I cut a defroster grille and put in black wire mesh but never hooked up a blower motor because I really like how light shines thru it now. nice lighting -this was as a spaceship landed lol
  24. MM checking in. Still kicking ! ...The Malibu is running strong -I have been flogging it like its stolen all summer. Nice of you to miss me. Thanks. I would try to keep in touch more often, but sometimes I feel like I've got brain damage amage amage amage from working my ass off all the time. still not done but I like it that way ...the structure is the trim, and the trim is the structure more to come.
