  1. Yeah... too bad you didn't meet him one week after your car is stolen mysteriously.... Speedorama sounds cool, is it like Autorama in Detroit or what?
  2. Looks kinda good with GM kool aid and 2 shots of Jack. Will need lots of red duct tape on racing day fersure.
  3. the '54 Cutlass is supposed to be in Jersey...go get it
  4. I'm with you, I've had many 4WDs and they are best if driven wisely. My favorites are the ones who have 4wheel drive, but don't use it... fishtailing wildly while on the phone, and eating a sandwich.I think there should be a mandatory bad weather driving test...if you're an idiot, no driving for you. Same thing with bald tires- if you are in an accident or cause one in bad weather and have bald tires, you need a ticket for faulty equipment. No excuses.
  5. nosome! ...I would so be there! Too far tho Get something dead on the list too. Gotta have a dead thing
  6. I got this at work also, with a string of congrats....
  7. Strange how your curve chart doesn't match ANY of the engines listed in THEIR specs.... Torque is what matters here, and 401 ft lbs is sweet on the Toy. The GM 6.0 is 360 ft lbs, and they offer optional 450 ftlbs (8.1) and 650 ftlbs on the turbodiesel The Turdra looks like ass, and is a great truck for a woman, or any one who likes butt-ugly trucks. 8. The auto show was great... except for this unfortunate sight. I couldn't seem to escape this guy who ended up in many of my pictures. I tried to look away, but, like a sinking ship, I felt compelled to watch. It was disturbing..... Other than that, I had a good time.
  9. Check where it would come though the floor first....I thought you had a bench seat? That might not workMaybe if you never move the seat forward... any cable floor mount shifter would work also. Cheap used parts at Warhoops 18 1/2 between Van Dyke and Mound Why spend lots on that? - More like for a t-bucket or Truck /rod It's your deal tho
  10. Sucks...sorry. on the bright side your dad will be OK, you weren't at fault, and odds are you won't have an accident for a while now.My dad also got hit by a driver who crossed over the line! wierd
  11. Speaking of lying for money and pants down, Lutz shared a story this week about inviting Paul Lienart over for a meeting, and asking him to point out the large interior gaps on the interior of the GM same car he just reviewed....Paul said he "wouldn't point them out- only if GM gave him a consulting contract like Toyota does......" hmmmmm The damn Lienarts no longer write for the papers in Detroit.awwwww. bastards
  12. yeaaaah- nobody at work has ever said dashboard that I know of....funniest is COCKpit module. Usually Inst Pnl Asm The volt has many variants in the planning ...one version will make you happy I have some Camaro convert posters 3/4 Rear shot with attitude from the show....
  13. you mean like this right? Scott doesn't elaborate because it's a secret. He knows .... Anyone at GM that can pull data from the Holden database knows. Some things are meant to be suprises! Don't worry it won't suck.
  14. It's all apart, and getting a new I/P, built from scratch.
  15. Getting some exhaust mods and rear end gears this winter, so it can scream. I built the structure for my new I/P but not much else. It's one degree out there right now. It' gonna be awesome you'll see YoUll SeE!!! Went to the show also -only liked these I waited 'il this popped up 3 cyl turbo generated get ready we'll all have one stupid chinese car WITH funny cheese wedge logo (steering wheel)- I asked if it was cheesey, No one at the display could speak english that I recognized! A regular size guy can't even start to get in it
  16. 9:08 - Loading some images. here is one
  17. I work there and design interior systems, and am familar with the construction of the car. You are correct about the gauges with an extra idiot light above, again, federal laws state where critical displays have to be, so gauges down below is fine. Of course you know where the damn gauges go when you're driving like it's stolen.. Light strong steel is replacing mag often in many domestic built vehicles believe me, just like Asian competitors. Otherwise we're talking the same thing. No need to explain to me. Strong and simple designs rule.
  18. Gauges belong in your face, for quick reference when you're busy driving fast. Additionally, there are new FMVSS requirements which dictate placement of instrumentation no less than 30 degrees below forward sight line. Looks nice in the concept, however they not located properly for performance driving. Don't plan on a H.U.D. either.... This car needs to be light, fast, and affordable.
  19. Only a complete retard would say a dimension like 3/5 of an inch! fifths? duh!
  20. On local Detroit news, I watched one reporter (completely Auto-illiterate) go on and on about how GM was trying hard to "shore up" it's image for quality... no mention of gains in interior quality or exciting new product .... then they showed an H2 which hit an armored car and killed a guard, he refered to it as a Humveeabout 10 times ....what a dufus. If you don't know a damn thing about cars, you shouldn't be talking about them on TV!
  21. Thank you for all your efforts, I am sure it takes time to process everyone's order, double check them, and so on , and on.and we all know time is money....You are doing awesome.
  22. PM me with the VIN and I'll give you the run down. Probably missing a filler panel in front, When the shock absorbing bumpers are used in a light crash, manytimes the filler pnls are cracked or lost... Also, the mounts for these G-body bumpers often rust out quick, so you have to fab new mounts or replace bumper asm's in snowy climates.
  23. Console Gauge cluster is very unlikely, due to it being so low and away from the line of sight. The 427 SEMA truck cluster sucks. Looks like a toy for kids....Nowhere near production.
