  1. click here The ultimate toranado/or what to do with the driveline is in the eye of the beholder. These are amoung the most saught after classic motorhomes.
  2. I suppose that you could use the 2.2l. ecotec 4-cyl. since it was an option in that year.
  3. If there is fuel rationing, it's small size will seem like a luxury feature. :(
  4. although the author refers to it as the "ultimate tornado" , I thnk it is included just as a humaninterest kind of angle on the retrospective. That gold colored car featured on the first page is sweet!
  5. capricman: If you feal this way, why did you buy the Toyota vibe? I have no resentment for Toyota. The article complains that 40% of their cars are built in the U.S. Certainly that is better than none and not that far behind GM. I buy all GM cars/trucks because I like them and consider them dependable, etc.
  6. I tmight actually be cheaper to answer the phone for them, than pay for all those television commercials that no one remebers.
  7. Perhaps the father had a Saturn and the daughter had a Honda. If you are a father of a daughter with a driivng liscence you will understand. By the way my youngest (25) if finally going for her driving test next week. My drivers liscence renewal was recently refused becuase of my eye sight. I shouldnever have taken my white gain with me. :) The idea of her driving and me not is freaking me out. 50 years of driving without an accident, and they are kicking me to the curb. I have one last chance at the optometrist.
  8. The Aztek doen't seem that much worse than the Rendevous.
  9. Wouldn't any return to the U.S. by Renalut take advantage of the Nissan dealer network?
  10. Daughter #1's husband drives a car hauler. I don't have any pictures, but will ask him to try and pick some up for you. He has lots of interesting stories over the years.
  11. Harley Earl: Do you have any other pictures of the car hauler?
  12. as i re-read the nformation at the link provided, I get the impression that there will be no manual transmission. That is a little strange/restrictive in this price range. It appears that the standard ingine will be the CVT transmission with 6 fuel-wasting steps progamed in, and the optional transmission will be the same but with paddle shift capabilities to control the 6 imitation/power robbing steps. Is that what you understand the setup to be?
  13. Dishonest was perhaps not the best choice of words. The engineers point of view is that the manufacturer should not allow/aid the coustomer to be so decieved. By the way I think the mini uses this same silliness and the automotive press love it. Go figure! PS I like the interior!
  14. They seem quite taken with the Jatco CVT transmission. Ford is droping their CVT in the 500! Saturn got rid of theirs (almost). The discussion boards at Just-auto.com had a conversation between two CVT transmissin manufactures. They implied that owners that wanted the step transmission feel programed in were fools and the manufacturers that supplied it dishonest.
